To anyone that thinks Dames of Destiny is sexist
Is a female only clan sexist? No, is a male only clan sexist? No. There are plenty of other clans out there that you are able to join, if it was the only clan or the majority would not allow a certain gender, then yes, sexism would be an issue.
Now, if it was a gender specific clan because "we don't like the other gender/we are better than the other gender" again, sexism would be an issue.
The group was set up to be a safe place for female guardians, the group founder has also set up a group for any gender to have a safe place to game "safegamers" but wait!.. This is discriminating against gamers that want Destiny to be an unsafe place!!!...
As a male would you really want to join Dames? My question would be, why? Thirst? Creeping? Can't wait to be offended by something?
Do you think Dames of Destiny is sexist? I'm really going to have a hard time getting through to you, but here goes.
I go to an old fashioned male only barber where they serve whisky whilst you wait and offer cut throat shaves, my partner goes to a female only gym.
Sometimes the odd woman comes into the barber with her partner and is politely offered a drink and asked to sit at the table outside of the barber, sometimes she gets riled up and starts ranting and making a show, you are that woman.
The female only gym, imagine a guy standing outside, banging on the doors "Let me in!!!" "I want to see what's going on inside of here!" "Let me in, this is sexist and I need to join this gym, show me what's happening inside!!!" You are that guy.

I really disliked the fact that there were girl gamers who joined a girl only clan only for the fact that it seemed secluded, meanwhile I'm in parties with just guys all the time. Now it's hard enough to find girl gamers but it makes it harder when they're in a "girls only" clan. That being said I understand y they would want to join a girls only clan, even my friends can be insensitive to what they say about women. It just seems to me like it causes division in destiny, besides that I completely understand and it makes sense.

1 ReplyDiscrimination lawsuits tend to focus on the specific advantages provided by the exclusivity. In this particular example, there is nothing tangible to gain that cannot be achieved elsewhere. Everything else is irrelevant. Wanting something really bad doesn't give you the right to have it. If it did, there'd be more lawsuits against Ferrari for discriminating against people that can't afford their cars...

But since there was a womens' clan in the stream, the White knights stepped in and made it a big deal. It's sad though, the white knights are an oxymoron. They want to help all women, but in reality, they stand to show that women are feeble and can't defend themselves.
