Ever since House of Wolves most the Warlocks I have encountered in Crucible have been wearing the Ram. I get the Ram can help prevent Thorn but the problem really begins when they are a Sunsinger with Thorn and still get the armour bonus as the perk for the Ram is for Voidwalker. My overall problem is it is when the wearer uses Thorn as well I get that Thorn is also part of the Crucible meta at the moment but I have had a discussion with my friends and we have collectively come up with some possible solutions for it. in addition Warlocks already have Flame shield meaning they can just melee someone without the need for the increased armour.
Possible fixes-
1) Get rid of the armour increase altogether,
2)The armour increase only works on the Voidwalker Subclass,
3)The wearer cannot wield Thorn whilst wearing the Ram.
Problems I have encountered, A shoulder charge doesn't kill a player wearing the Ram, it takes 3 Thorn shots to the head to kill a wearer yet they still have to shoot someone twice in the head to get the kill.
Anyone else getting annoyed with this many Rams?
P.S . let me know any changes you can suggest so I can add them!
Thanks for the overwhelming support for this! <3

1 ReplyMy main issue with it is that Titans are supposed to be the tanky class and yet warlocks are the ones tanking the most damage. Personally I think replacing it with a recovery boost would synergise well with the melee perk, allowing you to regenerate faster after a melee attack.

Quit whining

Git gud scrub
-
"Overwhelming support for this" Lol I scroll through the comments and all I see is "get good scrub".
-
The armor bonus perk is not for void walker exclusively, the other perk only works with void walker so the helmet synergizes perk wise more with void walker.

Butt=hurt Just wait until you get your own

1 ReplyLeave it alone

Whoever made this post is clearly terrible at crucible lmao

Dude. A hunter can blade dance enemies without even knowing where they are, and they have the exotic that adds more time for each kill... With the helm of inmost light. You can jump a mile in the air and aim a self bomb at a pack of enemies taking a zone and demolish them all Do I say d that garbage when someone kills me with it? Sometimes lol But it's not unfair, and neither is the ram.

Number 3 is where I said f-ck this post.
-
Seriously stop crying Your probably using thorn too
-
The bonus is fine
-
*sigh* the life steal is for voidwalker all the other perks are for any Warlock class
-
8 RepliesRams head DOES NOT ADD HP it increases toughness there IS a difference (unless perc says specifically "increases armor or HP" also FYI defense values ONLY apply when level advantages ARE enabled and even then it is a TOUGHNESS modifier)
-
2 RepliesEdited by ExelArts: 8/14/2015 5:23:34 PMNo it makes it a better tank then a titan
-
Get good
-
5 RepliesThe ram is cool and all but whoever thought it was a wise idea to give warlocks more HP than titans is truly the king of idiots. It's possibly the most unnecessary shit in this game, this is a perk that should be on the Eternal Warrior seeing as it's perk is pretty pointless to a super that can already tank a golden gun or arcblade swipe.

Lol #3...
-
Its not anywhere near op, quit crying
-
Jesus you're ensalted over the Ram aren't you girl?
-
It says increased armor, doesn't say only on voidwalkers. One shotgun shot still kills. It's not overly OP. Get over it
-
1 ReplyWell you'd think a helmet called an "insurmountable skullfort" would have the increased defense. But instead, that helmet sucks
-
I think that if anything maybe add something similar for other classes but I don't see a problem with making kills more difficult to get. There are too many "one and done" options for kills as it is. Not only that but with certain gear equipped it's still possible to get single and double hit kills. Time to work for it boys and girls.
-
Maybe you could become better at the game? If you are relying on thorn to get you through you aren't all that good. You just have an OP weapon. And most warlocks (that I've played against) use Sunsinger in ToO. It's so easy to headshot them when they revive themselves.
-
3 RepliesStill don't understand sunsingers in pvp Voidwalker; use nova bomb in dodgy situations to get kills and stay alive. Sunsingers; die then resurrect and get kills. Especially with ram as life steal gets triggered on every melee meaning you can have a zero strength setup and still get health regen upon melee. Sunsingers only worth it for trials.

Titans should have some exotic that has a armor perk...why they gave this to a warlock still confuses me...
