  • So judging by how many votes Morrowind has, there are no Morrowind vets here, are there? Only 23? This makes me sad....

I've played all of them except for Morrowind, and I haven't completed Oblivion just yet. But I voted Skyrim because it's the only one that I was having so much fun in, that I actually wanted to do everything. So I got a guide book and just went down the list of side quests and little deeds you can do and after just under 3000 hours of gameplay, I finally reached 100% completion of the game. Of course this is excluding quest lines such as the civil war or the Dawnguard where you have to choose a side and you can only play that one side. To be fair though, when I played it for the achievements on 360, I made the exact opposite decisions that I had made on PC. Arena is a wonderful game for its time, the controls are just a little wonky. Daggerfall is massive compared to what I thought it would be like. Look up its game map in comparison to actual size of other video games. It is huge. And I like ESO so far. For the most part I stick to doing everything in it alone. I like to keep the feel of the solitude in ES games.

    • So 13% of you voted for ESO want to explain your logic because I'm at a loss here.

      • Played ES: 3- ESO. The only reason people vote older games is because they wanna feel superior and wanna be known as veterans, or they just wanna show off the fact that they've been around for a while. Played those games and I still think Skyrim is the best.

        • Since I've only really played Skyrim, I've gotta vote for that. Hopefully I'll be getting ESO soon. Maybe someday I'll finish Oblivion...

            • Skyrim, but mostly because I got the 360 late, and missed out on oblivion. I do like ESO a lot more than most people though, I find it pretty fun

Morrowind is one of those games that I played a lot in my childhood and thought very highly of it, and when I finally went back to play it again it totally held up. It's right up there with KOTOR. I think Morrowind had the best selection of skills and the best leveling system, which led to more interesting class creation options. And it was more challenging than the others so your beginning choices actually mattered. Combine that with the best setting, creatures, and plot, and you get a timeless game. That's not to say Morrowind doesn't have its flaws, but I still think it's the best Elder Scrolls to date.
