What is the fastest way to farm glimmer except exclusion zone?

Do crotas end hard mode on 3 characters. Take all your shards and energies to the speaker. Profit.

2 RepliesEdited by ThisMahSwamp: 7/27/2015 5:42:08 PMGatekeeper checkpoint in VoG. By far my favorite. Typically run Bad Juju, Obsidian Mind, and Found Verdict. I start on the left hand side, shotgun the first 4 elites, grenade + Bad Juju the two elite snipers, super the right hand snipers and then polish off the remaining elites on the right hand side with a prox rocket. Quick and easy. Stupid fast glimmer. takes about 30-40 seconds a run counting the death timer. Total of 28 runs needed to max glim glams. Typically 15-20 minutes to do so.

Farm the dragon strikes for an hour which is same time as exclusion zone (if your broke) and you have a chance for legendary and you can rank up factions and Cryptarch and the time goes by faster. I think the exclusion zone is over rated and slow and boring.

4 RepliesI think I can go from 0k Glimmer to 25k glimmer in about 50 seconds, maybe a bit less. It's really not that hard, and barely anything I would call a grind. Easy-Peasy. I think almost anyone can do it too. You just gotta know how.

1 ReplyDo strikes and pop a consumable at the start and just grind away. With the loot you get on top of glimmer boost you will be sorted. For next time do what I do - don't redeem the axiomatic beads/house banners etc. store them in your vault. I have about 75k glimmer in vault that way. With iron banner etc and a lot more glimmer sinks now it's a good idea.

23 RepliesThe single best way is... Load Eye of the Gate Lord. Get the the end, bring the bosses health to below half. Pop a poly sit back and kill infinite ads that keep spawning. 3000 glimmer every 10 mins. Done.

The first mission on the moon i think its called the dark beyond get to the end when the hive come out of the door kill them all except the knight let him kill you respawn and do it again its pretty quick imo

Gorgon check point to gate keeper. Run around with gatekeeper kill all the adds rinse repeat.

I have pretty good luck running the Shrine of Orxy - pop a black wax or ether seeds..

Nightfall and weekly heroic will give you a lot of glimmer, use the consumables too.

Patrol earth or moon and just do bounties. Always fight the wolves when they drop and always use the ether seeds. Venus too. And stay in areas that have yellow bar enemies. Rinse and repeat. I am always at max glimmer and need to buy ten heavies from the gunsmith every other day.

I would have to say exclusion zone is the fastest but I will usually run the strike playlist and just pop synth on the way, This way I get marks and engrams/weapon drops as well. Depends though on how much and how fast I need the glimmer.

2 RepliesNot including exclusion zone I prefer to run the weekly heroic with whatever item boosts glimmer from the most common enemy type. Omnigul strike tends to give the most glimmer.
