Playing Control, but not capturing zones.
Guys, c'mon...I've dug through some players profiles, and I see their Control stats and they have very little captures, only kills.
Isn't that what Clash and/or Rumble are for?
I know, I know, the hate may possibly ensue, but hear me out; if I see a player standing near a zone that has been captured by the other team, and they're still just standing there camping, that's not playing the objective.
I respect great players, but I don't like seeing people just running around getting kills when that's not the primary purpose of that particular game.

Unfortunately there is way too much made about the K/D ratio. Even though you get more points the more zones held. If they introduced more bounties which promoted things like lockdown, domination, and objectively correct it would encourage more objective driven play rather than just going around killing. The only Control ones I see are capture 10 zones, play 5 Control matches, and maybe win 3 crucible matches. Just like too many people using HC, some of the play is driven by the bounties available. If the had bounties for other weapon types that could promote other weapon type usage as well.

If you good enough you only need to capture 2 points per game.

Once you have 2 zones there is no need to capture the 3rd.

It depends. The perfect banner strategy with a clan is 4 on zone suppression and protection 2 Head hunters You designate 2 people to murder folk all around the map, and the other 4 worry about zones. I'm personally a head hunter. But will still do zones to "attract" victims

It's the snipers and if I see two to them doing it repeatedly I quit. It doesn't matter if we're winning or losing.

I used to capture as much as i could and we still lost , so now i dont care, i am not trying to capture while my teamates run around getting killed. If I see my teamates put an effort and go for zone ill help other wise ill just play it like clash.

I feel your pain I feel like I'm the only one capturing objectives in control matches, while everyone else runs around the map to kill anyone on the objectives. Funny thing is if a few people stick to each objective and defend them, they turn out to be some kick ass games and fire fights with lots of kills and points to go around. But the lack of this play style is why I only pho when I have to, otherwise I just stick to PVE, I'm too old to care who the best player is anymore I play for fund and enjoyment. PVP just adds to much stress

2 RepliesYou only need to capture two zones per control match. Ideally, you should get them both at the same time which means you should have to capture one per match.
