Questions about DLC and transferring between accounts and/or consoles
Alright, so a few months after the game came out, I purchased Destiny on my xbox 360 and have enjoyed playing it... A few weeks ago I bought an xbox one and a copy of Destiny to play on that. (So I have an xbox 360, and an xbox one, both operating in my house, with a copy of Destiny for each of them) I was happy to see that my account, characters and inventory carried over from the 360 to the one,but I have some questions regarding the DLC, which I am considering purchasing. I understand that if I buy it on either one of my two consoles it will be shared between all the accounts on that console, but my big question is:
Will I have to buy the DLC twice in order to have it on both the xbox 360 and the one? Or will it carry over just like how my account did?

1 ReplyHey ND man 5, If you purchase the DLC on the Xbox 360 then you can use the Digital Upgrade Program [url=https://www.bungie.net/7_Where-can-I-get-info-about-the-Destiny-next-gen-di/en/Help/Article/12122](FAQ HERE)[/url] to get it for Xbox One for free as well. Note that if you buy it on the Xbox One then you'll have to buy it for 360 as well. You must purchase it on Xbox 360 for the Digital Upgrade Program to apply. The Taken King is not currently part of the Digital Upgrade Program.

[/quote] There are a few things to note: - The digital upgrade program is for the same console family (Xbox 360 <> Xbox One [b]OR[/b] PS3 <>PS4) - It only upgrades in one direction. Legacy Gen > Current Gen. - It only applies to Expansion I, Expansion II and the Expansion Pass. - You must use the same PSN / Windows Live ID. Learn more here: https://www.destinythegame.com/digital-upgrade This allows you to have the DLC on both 360 and Xbox One without having to repurchase the content. This does not apply if you buy the DLCs on Xbox One.
