So the one shot headshot kill happened so rare, why nerf it? Afterall that is part of the exotic!
Once, I was in rumble on shores of time. I joined the match late, behind by 700 pts. Kills started racking up and b4 I knew it, I was in the lead on a relentless... The other guardians started swarming like Hawks upon the smell of blood! as I stand weak, down to sliver of health! I aim down the sights of Hawkmoon pinned against a wall, and see a warlock about to pull the trigger!! Booooommm!!!! His body drops as he releases one last dying gasp and a sensation erupts in my pants! I went on to end the game with 10 more kills and win in 4 minutes.
So most players think its dumb!

Fixing triple stack would be for the best. The added ammo partially offsets the HC nerf to not make the perks more powerful. The reduction in perk damage would be to accommodate min armor builds to try to prevent 2 shoting

I recently scored Hawkmoon. Love it - but.. I've been headshoting stuff I shouldn't be as it's pretty far off. Now, a scout rifle sure. A sniper certainly. Lucky shots then right? Yep, from the hip. Each of them. That's not right - right?

2 RepliesShut up you self entitled special snowflake, git gud and stop crying already !
-
5 RepliesI expected people to be more bothered by the two lucky round damage reduction than the thing that hardly ever happens.
-
Yepppppppppp
-
They nerfed it so that the whiners wouldn't have something to complain about. It's so rare that it doesn't matter anyway, but kids will be kids.
-
3 RepliesRNG should not be in gunfights.

5 RepliesEdited by blaster425: 7/22/2015 2:23:53 AMIs it getting a reduction of 2 bullets to 11 and getting back 2 with holding aces making it 13, or will it just get two more bullets to make it 15? 15 looks like a really ugly number for a hand cannon though. Lol Sincerely Xbox User
-
2 RepliesThe nerf was completely unnecessary, the potential for all bullets to stack is what makes it exotic, just a final screw you to the Xbox players from bungie. Signed an Xbox player who will never get to own a proper Hawkmoon :(
-
Yes but im also biased because it's my favorite weapon. I'll still be using it after 2.0.
-
1 ReplyI am just happy about having more ammo #pve
-
2 RepliesPersonally I don't really care about the three stack as it probably hindered players as often as it helped them, but I think giving it a small hit to stability and range would have been better then giving it a fifteen shot mag.
-
Edited by Money Collector: 7/22/2015 4:58:57 AMIf they make it 15 bullets there's a rare handcannon with good stats 5 mag would be better than hawkmoon if it had LitC
-
12 RepliesIt has 3 rounds that are equivalent to final round so no I don't think it's a dumb nerf, I think the nerf is long over do and I've never even seen the Hawkmoon because I am on the Xbox
-
it's purely a psychological thing people wont be going: "HE ONE SHOTTED ME!" anymore
-
1 ReplyI think thinking is dumb is dumb
-
7 RepliesThe 3-4 times I've ever one shot someone with hawkmoon have been the best moments of my life. Xbox users, suck it.
-
It happens so rarely why nerf it? It's a one shot, no matter how rare. You won't even notice the nerf lol
-
3 RepliesI use hawkmoon religiously and this nerf truly doesn't do crap all to the gun, any real hawkmoon owner would know this.
-
I totally agree. I've gotten the one shot kill a few times, but like you said. It happens so rarely why nerf it. It's stupid to nerf it just because.
-
6 RepliesBecause let's say by the slim chance that destiny becomes MLG and it's the 1v1 finals. Hawkmoon vs hawkmoon for 100,000 dollars. Triplerek vs shesmynerd. she's my nerd one shots triplewrek for 100k. Its one step closer to MLG, even if, however, it is far away. One small step is one small step. MLG will never accept destiny with mechanics as absurd as that.
-
3 RepliesIt was a perk that stacked incorrectly. Hawkmoon wasn't meant to do that. So it's more of a fix than a nerf.
-
I like turtles.
-
Yeah I -blam!-ing do I'm on Xb1 so I will never see it in beast mode -blam!- you bungie I -blam!-ing quit any haters can blow me

All of the nerfs are dumb. Other weapons, especially autos, should have been buffed if they wanted to achieve balance. If we've learned anything from the past nerfs, the only thing they achieve is screwing up one group of weapons and creating a new "god tier." That's exactly what will happen whenever the next "weapon balancing" patch launches.
