HCs, and Fusion Rifles RUINED! Welcome to the unskilled land of ARs where scrubs can hold down the trigger and win...
Bungie! I know the scrubs have money, but why ruin the fun because of their crying? Good business move, that's about it. Truth is, there are more scrubs than non-scrubs. A scrub is a guy who don't get no love from me, hanging out the passenger side of his best friends ride, trying to holla at me.
Tell me what the point of grinding for exotics and other coveted weapons are, if none of them are "special" anymore? Just because I can use a handcannon in PvP and OWN with it, doesn't mean other players can't do the same. You have basically leveled the playing fields for skilled players VS baddies.
Once again, Auto Rifles are going to be the "Best" weapons to use in PvP - How lame!
way to nerf thorn and the last word OUT OF EXISTENCE. they will be USELESS in PvP now. What about the players that love primary hand cannons?

My tits are totally calm, just a rant from someone who hates getting melted by 5 scrubs using ARs at the same time.
If you really believe that using ARs takes skill...... LOL you're one of the crybabies that got Thorn/TLW/HM nerfed because you can't use it.
Edit: Also, I would like to mention fusion rifle nerfs, completely unnecessary. Once again catering to the crybaby scrubs because they are constantly getting owned. Soon the game will be super lame because no weapons will reward a skilled hand..
I think one of the sniper scopes available in Destiny provides the best explanation to how it should be: "Rewards a skilled hand"
THAT statement right there, should be how all guns behave, but the scrubs cry and get things nerfed. Exactly the reason why they will never nerf snipers performance wise (besides BS last round....), because scrubs who can't use them, don't. AND, if you're getting owned by some BA sniper on the enemy team, nobody says "snipers are OP" because they take skill to be really good at.

Your arguments are invalid. For starters, they are returning balance to the broken crucible. Have you payed attention to a kill feed in a regular crucible match? Hand cannon, hand cannon, hand cannon, shotgun, shotgun, grenade, sniper. That's about all the weapons used. Second, exotic hand cannons will still be quite powerful, there is just a more level playing field, because when was the last time you got killed by an auto rifle in PVP? I'll tell you, probably before 1.1.1 patch. All about balance man, it is far from perfect, but it's a needed change.

Think it about it this way. Bungie has to get a whole new group of players interested in the crucible. The easiest way to do that is to make the easiest primary weapon to use the best. Bet about the time the AR nerf happened last year, it will happen all over again. And this is coming from a guy that's only been playing since just before TDB.

Fusion rifle nerf was just stupid. I hardly ever see anybody using them and when they are, they do poorly. Surely they must have data that shows how terrible the usage is in both PvE and PvP.. And they still try to make them less popular haha. Doesn't bother me, never use them. Just find it amusing. I think it's too early to jump to the conclusion that Autos are going to be amazing. The effective range right now is terrible, and they are reducing it further. Doesn't sound like a win to me. In my opinion Hand cannon and a sniper will still be effective. Only time will tell though.

2 RepliesI was GOING to use Jewel of Osiris, but oh well. So much for legendaries being relevant. People will just bitch about Bad Juju, SUROS, and MIDA. Then those will get nerfed. What the -blam!- do you people think will happen? You think the crucible will be all happy and fun now? There will ALWAYS BE METAGAMING. There will always be weapons at the top. And people will bitch about them. The whiniest voices make the most noise, and Bungie will listen. Provided there is any gun with a perk at all, then there will be guns better than others. And when unlucky people bitch, Bungie will Nerf even if 99% of the people in the game have and love that gun.

Depends on what the drop off rate will be. Lack of ammo in a clip will be a huge problem. Shooting up close won't be for me as that's my style and not worrying about getting sniped from across the map will also be better. But if that's a perk that an exotic hand cannon like thorn should have to make it more special, then so be it. I can live with that. Auto rifles are great though. Loved them before the nerf, will be fun to use again. Pulse rifles staying pretty much the same though. Lucky those ppl that use them 😊

All of the weapons will have about the same time to kill provided you are within there effective range.

1 ReplyNo numbers were published yet except one on ARs (AI damage increase) and one on pulse rifles (damage nerf). So you cant expect anything. Its like predicting that its going to rain tomorrow because there was a cloud in the sky. And HCs in general are not easy to use, that is true. But they are a jack of all trades right now and Bungie tries to give them some real weaknesses. I expect ARs and HCs to compete on the same range department and to be pretty weak on longer ranges compared to pulse rifles and scout rifles. ARs and HCs will be pretty different in their play pattern and HCs will have the edge because of the higher alpha damage.

Two guns, messenger and red death. Both 2 shot kill weapons that will be adopted by most of the community. They will be next along with auto rifles for the "nerf" cry list.

There's no diversity in crucible. It's always Thorn, The Last Word, and some type of shotgun. If you don't use those then you don't stand as much of a chance at winning as the people that do. Also in pve if you don't use a hand cannon then you can barely do anything to the enemy. If you don't like using hand cannons you virtually stand no chance of succeeding and then there's no point to play the game.
