I am laughing so hard right now!
The forums are ablaze with the saltiest of gaurdians! If you can honestly tell me that the balancing patch was not needed, you are a winner. Just think of the variety! That necrochasm that has been sitting in the vault for months will finally be used! No more "must have maxed out Gjallarhorn " groups! The thorn won't be stupidly op! The weapon balancing patch is going to be glorious, and I will drink all of the salty tears!

They haven't said how much their going nerf the wolf pack rounds but it's not going to stop people from requesting Gally pLayers... That was a stupid reaSon, trying to control your customer base again like with the emotes and exotic class items, not a good idea

They only targeted the thorns dot... This alone shows how players understand the game more than this "game designer" -its still a hc with the firerate of a 4hk and the damage of a 3hk hc It still makes most if not all hcs low tier, its like the WoC having the damage of the fatebringer per shot but at a quicker firerate and with poison

Groups that required 2 or 3 Gally's will want a full team of them now... I don't see this working quite the way Bungie intended. And, it'll make carrying less skilled players harder, so we'll see how 'giving' the community is when this nerf hits & the grind gets even more grindy.

4 Repliesif YOU can tell me why they needed to nerf all hand cannons, all year one weapon perks, shotguns in PvE, Black Hammer, Icebreaker, ghorn, and all fusion rifles, then by all means. But if you can't, politely -blam!- right off. YES Necrochasm NEEDED a buff. YES TLW and Thorn needed to be nerfed. YES final round needed to be nerfed. NOBODY IS ARGUING ANY OF THIS. every other thing bungie did though was completely uncalled for. They straight up ruined some weapons and others all they did was arbitrarily make times to kill longer when they won't change how players are using them. (so now we wait EVEN longer to get IB ammo back when doing a nightfall and sniping a bulletsponge from outside of its range)

Personally I'm loving this salt. The community at large is acting like the sky is falling, and I had a feeling that Bungie was going to be wielding a double edged sword when it came to balancing everything. Do I have a Gally? Nope. Do I care? Nope, because I have friends who don't gate people based on one weapon. The Black Hammer nerf is a bit surprising, same with the Ice Breaker, but I get it, they definitely want kill times to be longer. I'll still be maining the Last Word in Crucible because I care far more about CQC than anything else. Over all this was a much needed balance patch, and when it hits I'm pretty excited to get my hands on the new meta, especially since I've developed a love for the Red Death.

Should have come out with HoW second iron banner, hell, when the skolas update happened. It's prolly all the balancing that was going ot be in TTK, dropped a week early so the little sheepies can be placated into still playing the game.

I have no opinion on whether it was needed or not. Was Thorn annoying? Yes. But did I deal with it and still have winning games? You betcha. Same with every other category. I even defeated Thorn and TLW regularly using Hard Light. Just taked tactics and know-how. But thanks, Bungie, for making it a little easier.
