2 RepliesI'm cool with pretty much all of it. Not a big fan of the icebreaker nerf though. I don't really see much point in it. It's not going to change how the gun is used. It's just going to make the times that people want to use it last longer. I think their logic is flawed that's just my opinion though

2 RepliesWhy is everyone so upset about black hammer? What in the game requires more than 21 crit shots with no reload? Even if it does, it's not like green ammo is scarce just go pick up some more....

3 RepliesIt's so stupid. Might be the end of Destiny for me. Oh well. Fallout here I come. Sad though because the only reason I really play Destiny to spend time with family that lives far away. I'm sick of Bungie trying to make me use guns I don't want to use by buffing/nerfing them.

4 RepliesI don't really care about it... I'm pretty casual at this game, but it'll be nice to be able to just equip whatever for a primary in PVE or PVP and be (somewhat) competitive. The nerfs to Ice Breaker and Black Hammer were uncalled for, but everything else kind of makes sense. Even if they nerf the gally wolfpack rounds by 50% it'll still probably be the best PVE rocket launcher in the game.

7 RepliesMaybe if there was matchmaking there wouldn't be so many "ballerhorn only" group posts. When the only option is to go to a third party website in order to find a group, you shouldn't punish people for trying to make the best group possible. This is just Bungie being Bungie and bowing down to the crybabies, just like they did months ago when they nerfed the AR's and other weapons. #matchmaking

3 RepliesOverall not happy with it. I do think the thorn is a bit overpowered and so reducing the damage over a distance is helpful. Im not happy that my ice breaker, gally, and black hammer are getting messed up. The black hammer is useless without its mag refill perk. You are gonna take it from my inventory? I might as well dismantle it like every other boring sniper rifle with no good perks. I've been playing this game from the beginning, before any DLC and i worked hard to get all the gear I have. I feel like the updates are here to cater to the lazy and the cry babies. "Must have maxed gally" is a common post in the recruitment section by people who just dont know how to play the game. I didnt know there was a No Gaurdian Left Behind Act, where because people dont have good weapons after a month of playing, they have to nerf down those who do. I'm getting sick of this crap where the best armour can just be bought from a vender and you didnt have to play 70% - 80% of the game. I'm seeing lvl 34s who never played VOG where i had to bust my ass with it back when the lvl cap was 30. Bungie has created overpowered gaurdians without any real Destiny Experience. I'm [ ] this close to just putting the game away. This is bullshit.

This whole "must have Gally" issue could have been resolved if they would make an exotic bounty for it with all the hardest parts of the game. Make the players earn it. My brother was level 20 for 2 weeks when he got his first Gally. I've done Nightfalls, VOG Hard, Crota Hard, POE 34, 32 and soon will defeat 35 and I've put in nearly 500 hours. There are people with more time in than I have. I used to hate Shotguns because they were too weak, now I love them because they actually were worth the risk of getting close and that is gone again. I agree that the Thorn is ridiculous in PVP. Just need the weapons in PVP then. Nobody's complaining about PVE. Please Bungie undo this update and fix the smaller issues.

4 RepliesIcebreaker was nerfed when there was no reason to touch it, and the same thing applies to Black Hammer. Final Round was ruined for all PvP purposes, and has become significantly worse in PvE as well. Hawkmoon was nerfed when half the player population can't even obtain it. Gjallarhorn didn't need to be nerfed, but I can understand why it happened. Thorn barely got touched, and in a way became stronger. Necrochasm is still going to be worthless without a base damage buff. Scouts still won't be super viable in Crucible, but they won't be bad either. TL:DR - Too many unnecessary nerfs, and not enough actual positives

1 ReplyI don't particularly care for the unnecessary exotic sniper nerfs... Why nerf Ice Breaker and Black Hammer? The debuffs are so unnecessary and, in the case of the Black Hammer, render it useless. The Ice Breaker nerf is unnecessary because anybody who already had time enough to wait five seconds can still wait three more per round... It's prolonging the inevitable for no reason and hurting a gun which was already performing fine. The Black Hammer nerf absolutely ruins one of the most rewarding guns in the game. So, now if you have the skill to land 3 rapid headshots all you get is a faster reload? How is that in ANY way useful? Just use a gun with a larger magazine in that case... My LDR already has a fast reload, a larger reserve ammo capacity, and 6 rounds per magazine... I'd rather use a gun with ~24 rounds available than a shallow mag gun with virtually no useful perks anymore. This nerf on the Black Hammer is absolutely uncalled for and just stupid. I suppose next is changing the Bad Juju to behave the same way?

Edited by Geordwah: 7/17/2015 2:11:49 PMIt would seem to me that the main effects of the changes are increased time to take down bosses and a possible change to the main pve and pvp weapons. There will still be a few emerging weapons that will dominate. Ice breaker will still be used as a slow steady boss killer and gjallerhorn will probably still be the best all round launcher. I've got a shed load of various scouts all maxed and sporting firefly and explosive rounds, murderous at level 28... Hope the buff makes them viable at levels above that. I've also kept many of the legendary auto rifle hoping one day a buff would come..... Pest control matrix could be a cracker! Overall I'm happy, although peeved that last night I sharded some high rof shotties ( dead orbits) in favour of longer range ones..... Whoops as I now think faster rof and stability will be more important.

I don't mind a little bit of equality so that I can choose if iI want an auto-rifle or a scout rifle, while feeling effective the way each was designed to be played. Much better than just using Hawkmoon because OP. I welcome options.

13 RepliesI don't usually post in forums but, to all those people saying TLW got nerfed did you READ the patch notes? They're buffing the Hip Fire Precision Damage and Accuracy....so yeah, while you may not have to worry about it at range the gun that shat all over you in under 2 seconds within its range will be even worse lol So glad I uninstalled this game. But these forums, these forums are life <3

1 ReplyPersonally I like the new stuff a lot. My only problem is that the icebreaker will take longer when it was already fine, and this needs to be sooner!! Crucible is in a terrible state right now and so is trials. Thorn is the only weapon used and I don't even use it because of how easy it is to use and how overpowered it is.

Everything makes sense on paper. My entire gameplay just got nerfed but it needed to. I haven't taken fatebringer, black hammer, ballerhorn off in pve for six months...there's something wrong with that.

5 RepliesBlack Hammer to become worthless. I just put Etheric Light into mine, now they will make it so I never bother to carry it again. There was no call for this. This doesn't improve the game experience for ANYONE... But it does frustrate and anger plenty of us. They talk a lot about how important we are to them... But this is no way to demonstrate that. Jerkbags.
