HoW turned out to be worse than TDB
HoW turned out to be an epic failure.
Seriously, TDB had the Crota raid and even though it isn't the best raid at least people played it and it had good rewards.
Everyone was so hyped for HoW but now that we've lived with it for awhile it turns out to be inferior to previous activities we've had.
Some people enjoy ToO but for the majority of people HoW hasn't brought anything new they enjoy playing on a regular basis.
With this recognition I am worried about TTK. Bungie hyped HoW so much and it sucks. Not sure we should have any more confidence in future DLC releases.

Lol you've only just cottoned on Bungivision excel @ hype but are sorely lacking when it comes time to deliver? I worked that out on vanilla! But gave them the benefit of the doubt, after tdb twigged this is their business model :(

2 RepliesFrom the second I started Poe I knew immediately I didn't care for it. After many failed attempts and only being war machine and urroxs I gave up on trying to complete it. Finding (good) fireteams can be a challenge in itself let alone the challenge of everyone knowing how to run it. Here's my biggest objection to HoW. ☆The story is irrelevant and off track, ☆We haven't even seen the queen or her brother once, all you get is a 30 second voice over saying "you're not as pathetic as I thought little light". ☆Lack of new* equipment *New as in,every single item and mission is recycled with only three very small sections that are actually new, followed by recycled guns with new names. Imo we all payed $20 for cosmetic changes with no new substance of anything. At a $40 value, I highly highly doubt TTK will even be close to its worth. Activision is the devil

Lets be honest now. HoW quest missons are the same environments as other missions in the game, except playef out backwards. Cleaver bungie lol and the arena is 4 or 5 rounds of the same mind numbing challenges. Followed by a half decent boss fight. Why not just skip to to boss fights Imo. And as for trials lol wow. Did it like 9 times in all and now its not even worth the laugh because if its not thorn or last round snipers spoiling it its bad connections and cheaters. Truth hurts ... especially seeing as we all paid £20 for that shit

True. Trials was a good addition for pvp players but Prison of Elders is a joke both in the gameplay and rewards aspects. Don't get me started about the recycled missions.

HoW couldn't compete with TDB weapon wise at all. TDB brought in all but one top tier sniper. LDR 5001 Longbow synthesis Black hammer. Best snipers in the game Praedyths revenge is vanilla tho

After going flawless every week on every character, I'm absolutely bored of Trials. The only fun thing left is the Vault. I always loved the Vault. You have to admire the amount of detail they put into it. If only they did that with their whole game.

I'd prison of elders changed every week in a way that changed every single round I'd be happy. The fact that the only thing that changes on Skolas is the modifiers on the sixth round really pisses me off.

I agree partially. I want better rewards for what they are claiming is the "end game" content, as of right now the only thing worth a dam is the benevolence. But I do think (and hope) they're moving in the right direction. People forget this is year one plain Jane vanilla. It has a future. Not too many people in this game are old enough or played vanilla WoW at year one, it was an unbalanced mess with little endgame content that separated casuals from elites (sound familiar?)

HoW was hyped and sounded promising. I still enjoy PoE to an extent, but it is starting to become boring. From the way they made it sound, I expected each level to have some random elements to the respective playlists, whether it be modifiers, map / objective, or boss. Instead they created 5 specific playlists with exactly the same thing. Even Skolas is 100% fixed except for the Skolas round modifiers. And the rewards are absolute garbage for an end game activity. The elder cipher was also very poorly implemented. You do the EXACT same thing for each exotic weapon, including a stage to "Wait for Variks to summon you." Talk about lazy and just plain stupid... I have little interest in ToO - too much random bullshit and cheats to make it interesting...

Well how removed the need to grind so no one feels as compelled to complete weekly activities because in reality they aren't [u]that[/u] fun. Overall I had more fun with trials than anything since the vog. Everyone was going through the Croat raid so many time because they needed armor and it took them like 2 months to give us the hard raid version
