One exotic doesn't rule them all. It depends on who behind the controller and connection variables. Red Death works great in mid to longer range maps and TLW works better in smaller/cqb maps. It's all about HOW YOU PLAY.

Thorn is HEAVILY overused, and that's a fact mate

  • Yeah. One exotic doesn't rule them all. More like 3 or 4 exotics rule them all, depending on your platform.

  • You're right, but surely we should have more choice than 3-4 weapons; or be at an immediate disadvantage?

  • So my choice is Red Death, TLW, or Thorn. DoT over time on a primary does one thing only, give whoever wields it an immediate advantage over every other player. You double the amount of time a shield takes to recharge for anyone who gets by it. Instantly heal on a weapon that received a buff when two other weapons received damage and range nerfs? Red Death gg. Offer it for sale by Xur shortly after the buff? gg no re. Sure, any highly skilled player can pick up a weapon and spill spaghetti but that doesn't mean that a weapon isn't already inherently better than another. NLB versus any other exotic is a great example, really.
