Made my Titan on Wednesday, hit 34 on Friday. AMA
Two days to go level 1 to 34.
Favorite story from the journey:
I was level 29 and looking for a group to run Crota Normal for a chance at gear drops. Posted on Lfg and a group of 33's and 34's invited me and said that they were on the Crota checkpoint. When I load in they asked, "can you run sword..." Now I have run the sword at least 100 times on my hunter and another 25 or so on my lock, but this was my first Crota raid as a titan and I was level 29 while they were 33's and 34's (2 of them were 34 hunters). I said sure, but we will have to 3 sword him and worry about ogres. They didn't mind at all and were just happy to have someone to run sword. We beat him first try, but I was amazed at the circumstance.
EDIT: I know it isn't hard. Part of the reason I posted this was to point out how easy it is to get to max level now. As much as people say "grimoire means nothing", I believe it is becoming one of the only ways to tell who has played the content in the game. Level doesn't really tell you much anymore.

2 RepliesThis is why I wish they had some sort of prestige system like CoD then you could tell who is who. I generally go off Grimoire especially if I'm doing an lfg raid.

2 RepliesTwo thoughts: 1. Good for you 2. This is a very sad state of affairs I think I had my main character almost maxed pre CE before I started working on the other 2. When CE dropped only my Warlock was at level 30 and that felt like an incredible accomplishment! It took about a month or so but I finally got them all up to 32 after CE dropped - working hard with my clan and played raids weekly gathering new armor, weapons, and materials to get maxed out. After HoW dropped, it was literally a few weeks before all my guys were 34. Got my main character up there in no time, then waited for the first IB post HoW to get my 6 EL and finish leveling up my guardians. With progress now coming so fast - there are many guardians at a high level who truly do not know how to play. I was doing weekly heroic strikes and level 28 PoEs with some level 32 and 33 guardians this past weekend and had some guardians show some VERY poor judgment. Running into enemy fire instead of taking shelter and picking them off - getting killed and not knowing they could revive themselves (PoE 28), or getting themselves killed in nearly inaccessible locations during the weekly strike. I finally had it with restarting at the save point and ended up soloing the spider tank before trying to go to where they had died to revive them. Of course nobody was joining the team chat - so my advice could not even be shared.
