Yea. Really need checkpoints for Poe since it's awesome when you get lagged out and have to start all over again.
Edit:
A good idea is to have it set up where after you complete each round it checks off a box (or whatever) so this way you can't just do the boss. Good way to have the best of both worlds.

1 ReplyI understand they don't want us to pass checkpoints around, but something has to be done. Extremely aggrivating to sometimes spend a few hours on him, leave, and have to come back and do the whole activity over again.

2 RepliesEdited by bisto760: 6/27/2015 10:19:32 AMAbsolutely required. Makes no sense not to have checkpoints. Skolas is more enjoyable now but also more time consuming. Not realistic to do it in one sitting for everyone. Not to mention getting kicked to orbit for server issues and having to start over.

Yes pleeeeeeeeeeease!! I know this would benefit the majority of the player base so it will never happen but it would be so nice!

2 RepliesHappened to me on the Xbox One the other day (normally I'm 360 but I was signed in on a brother's console,) and we were steadily 2-manning the level 32 Gulrot encounter. No issues up until the boss. Suddenly as soon as we enter the room at Round 5, my brother is booted. Then I reassure him he can just join back soon as I wipe, I too was booted. It needs done, Bungie, even if it causes people to share their Boss Checkpoint so people can bypass earlier rounds; it's your fault for not providing an incentive for earlier rounds. For an endgame content PvE encounter that uses Raid mechanics and Raid-level enemies, it deserves steady Raid-like rewards. Think about it; Destroying mines is no different from Oracles, and dismantling them isn't much different. Killing a VIP before they instant wipe you (Ir Yut) is also a Raid-like mechanic. Yet all we get up until the end is a small amount of Reputation with Variks. We deserve to be adequately awarded at least materials or legendaries of a sort to help even out the distinct contrast between PvP and PvE rewards now. I think what we're seeing is Bungie trying to adapt players to play PvP more because it's a game type that can be played consistently with no change to rewards rather than PvE, which is typically based on weekly lockouts which means many players only sign in long enough to do their weekly lockouts before signing out of Destiny for the rest of the week. It's also obviously because people wanted better PvP rewards, but I don't see how that equates to worse PvE rewards as well. Bungie always goofing around and it's getting annoying. We pay a premium, where's our premium service? At this point we'd probably fare better with the player base's fans developing and adjusting the game than whoever does the work at Bungie. They don't rest when it comes to seeking out alternatives and compromises, but Bungie seems content to let things slide for months before they feel like it's finally time to start working again.

1 ReplyI think it's because they dont want people to piggy back it . Like everyone did for the raids.

i say...no checkpoints, but get rid of the first two rounds in poe35.

Edited by J0RD0: 6/27/2015 11:11:40 PMWith slight changes. As long as you can't give cp. Lots of people abuse it. Or maybe cp only goes up to round 4 so when you load you have to redo that stuff. Other than that bump
-
No there should be no skolas CP. A CP on the completion of round 3 would be nice though. So if someone does in fact have to start over, they at least start at round 4 (for all POE) which is the round that joining into games becomes disabled, anyway.

Edited by Balthaizar: 6/27/2015 8:26:55 PMyea cant tell ya how much I enjoy getting to skolas and then getting booted from server and by the time I am able to log back in the group I was in has replaced me. and im not sayin put a cp in at every round.....just at skolas since the fight now takes longer to do then it takes to get to him (seems like ;P)

agree, this is supposed to feel like a raid but it feels like a NF

Yup stopped playing destiny because of it! Who has 4-5 hours spare to play?!
-
read the E3 interview, Bungie made it clear, there will be no check points in PoE, ever.
-
3 RepliesCheckpoints would be great, I lost my connection in round 5. When I got destiny back up and running and tried to rejoin I couldn't. This meant that the other two guys couldn't complete it and I was locked out. If we'd had checkpoints we just could have restarted the 5 round. Also I'd get less trouble from the wife for staying up late. It can take ages to complete if your not well geared. Checkpoints would solve this issue too.

¡Great idea! Like the raids, sometimes we dont have enought time to complete POE at one session
-
Bump, for the love of God please.
-
1 ReplyYes. Please!! Make everyone in the fireteam be at the same checkpoint for it to work if you want, but please make it work!
-
Plus not all of us have time to sit down from start to finish. Especially if we hit a specific level that is giving us problems. It would be nice to be able to pick up where we left off.

Game just -blam!-ed me again. Two essence killed both teammates at same time. Yes they each had it. Next round a melee captain killed two guys in one swipe. Yea. -blam!- this.
-
YES, please checkpoints for POE at least for the harder rounds/POE's. Like even maybe just checkpoints for 34 and 35 POE at the final or 4th round would be great!!

please
