I ran across this post last night. I enjoyed it and felt it deserved to be a main post.

I too have spent $100 dollars or less on dumb shit
- $40 on tickets and snacks to see Pitch Perfect with my wife
- $50 on the coolest phone case I could find
- $80 for a steam mop because regular mops aren't good enough (couldn't justify the $120 mop though... But it had a sprayer on it)
- $0.76 to crank a penny into a flatten image of a buffalo at the summit of Pikes Peak
- $75 for two tickets to ride the train to the summit of Pikes Peak, because driving up it isn't the same thing
- $15 on Doom the movie (damnit Dwayne Johnson)
- $14 for GameStop membership
- Filled my gas tank with premium for a month just to say I did
- Buying albums from iTunes... Even though I have Spotify
I get that everyone has their own budget, but I can only assume everyone has made unnecessary purchases relative to how much they make.
So, let us hear about your senseless spending and keep this going!
Enjoy.
EDIT: 100+ replies and trending on top. Thanks guys! Love the stories! Although I can't say I support each and every choice, but you guys are still making me laugh. Good break from work!
Got another one - dinosaur and Star Wars costumes for our dogs... Although it was my wife's idea, I fully supported this...
EDIT: 500 thank you everyone for lowering my productivity at work, lowering my IQ at times, making me feel both intelligent and a feel like a dumbass at the same time, all while making me laugh.
And in response to some of the more negative posts (surprising very few), the purpose of this was to build off of one person's post and just to bullshit with you all. But on a deeper note, I believe that the value of an object, tangible or not, is defined by the individual. They can gain all the support they want or receive all the opposition possible. In the end, it's that individual's decision whether or not that object is worth the price to obtain it. We are all different and have different opinions on value. And from the looks of things, it's probably safe to say we have all made a purchase beyond logic.

I buy new smart phones just about every year. I bought a WiiU in anticipation of a new Zelda game. When it was announced that it was delayed, I bought a New DS, and both N64 Zelda remakes...

4 RepliesWell I've spent thousands on cars because it's a hobby. Don't see what 200 would hurt for a game I enjoy as well. Just another healthy hobby.

A couple buddies and I drove 1300 miles on a whim to go to a playoff football game.
