What is the point of the hawkmoon? The perks are literally there just to give you the potential of a 2 shot kill. But this is chance, thorn is not. Thorn will almost always give you a two shot kill. So my question is why doesn't every one just use thorn. I would rather go with almost always than sometimes.
Btw I'm on xbox if you couldn't tell

Wait till you get your hands on hawkmoon.. You will see why we use it

Hawkmoon laughs at Thorn. The first shot from Hawkmoon hits someone, they look to see where it came from, then boom dead. The first shot from Thorn hits someone, screen goes green, they don't look they hide and sit.

Best sights of any hand cannon. Easy to land head shots. It can 1 shot and 2 shot kill. It sounds amazing. It feels powerful. Hawkmoon is bae.
-
1 ReplyIt has potential of a one shot kill but it has a similar stat roll to the fatebringer
-
Well I guess because you can say you're not one of the slimy dick heads that uses thorn
-
I like hawkmoon better Hawkmoon looks beast I don't like thorn
-
Hawkmoon looks, feels and sounds awesome. It has the cleanest sights of any hand cannon and getting headshots is a breeze. It has great range, huge impact and 13 rounds in the magazine. I love it.

Edited by Gam3sta09: 6/26/2015 3:11:44 PMBecause Thorn is a crutch, I think if you're K/D is up there because you use Thorn all the time, you're not as good as you think. I would rather use a weapon that is a little more difficult to use, and doesn't have you hiding behind a corner while your enemy burns to death. Not to mention Thorn is only good because Bungie buffed it, if you depend on Bungie for your K/D to increase you're not doing Crucible correctly. Even after the range nerf for the Hawkmoon, I use it because it's fun and you can sometimes get a 1 shot with it. Nothing more rewarding than killing a Thorn user with Hawkmoon before he has a chance to let burn come into play. Edit: if you're on Xbox give TLW a try, that thing is good up close and has some decent range for how quickly it can fire.

Fire it once, it is beyond amazing.

Haha Hawkmoon is better because its potential for a 1 shot. High 2 shot potential and even of you dont land one of those you can still nail a 3rd headshot before thorns 2nd shot ticks away the last of theyre health due to its better sights, predictable and low recoil. Also it has a 13 bullet mag to deal with more enemies. I use thorn bc the last word is for losers and im on xbox one.

It looks clean and it's amazing for Crucible
-
I play on both consoles and September can't come soon enough
-
PvE maybe?
-
Once you have handled hawkmoon you will understand the point of it.
-
It's better. Plain and simple.
-
2 RepliesThorn can never one shot, hawkmoon can
-
8 RepliesBecause some people don't like to play like a bitch using Thorn.
-
Hawkmoon can one shot on occasion
-
I hate how overwhelmingly powerful it is. There have been times where Hawkmoons have two or even one shotted (doesn't really sound like a word) me, and I just cry to the heavens over how monstrous that thing is. I hate it with a passion as much as I hate all exotic HCs. I think the fact that I hate it so much, should tell you why people love it so much,

Hawkmoon is like a hand cannon version of a sniper. The potential to 1 or 2 shot someone makes it a dangerous weapon in the hands of someone who can aim.
-
I 2 shot a guy last night who was sitting looking down sniper sight....I should not have won that
-
Youll find out soon enough, son.
-
You are still young. You will learn
-
As soon as you discharge the very first round from a Hawkmoon you will understand.
-
Hawkmoon = Pocket sniper
-
You sir haven't held this weapon in your guardian's hands looked down it's sights and pulled the trigger. Meh, I'm happy to have one but I'd rather use my red hand. And I just got an Arc Six Dreg so... Oh, and -blam!- thorn. I was more content to complete the bounty than to use the weapon.
