Playstation hawkmooners I have a question
What is the point of the hawkmoon?The perks are literally there just to give you the potential of a 2 shot kill. But this is chance, thorn is not. Thorn will almost always give you a two shot kill. So my question is why doesn't every one just use thorn. I would rather go with almost always than sometimes.
Btw I'm on xbox if you couldn't tell

I love my hawkmoon... It's looks great and hits like a truck... The luck in the chamber can stack and it's possible to one shot people in crucible. I use thorn more but hawkmoon is definitely fun

I always win a 1v1 against a Thorn user when I use my Hawkmoon, when it gets to xBox this September, you'll know why Hawkmoon is Hawkawesome

I'm not a HC fan but in the hands of a skilled player it's better. When it hits the Xbox, soon posts about nerfing it will follow.

I have one-shot someone with Hawkmoon before, and it wasn't event a headshot. The damage numbers were normal white, not bold yellow. I saved the clip too. That's why some people use Hawkmoon. Also, the stats are different and the gun handles differently.

The stats alone are good. Pretty high impact and range. The perk allows you to get lucky and survive sometimes.

A thorn user has no chance 1v1 a Hawkmoon. The Hawkmoon is 100% no matter what a 3 shot kill (1 body 2 heads) many times its a 2 shot. Very rarely it's a 1 shot. It has more range, stability, and impact of a thorn. People say thorn is a 2 shot but that's just not true. In order to be a 2 shot you have to get a headshot, let them burn, then get another head shot and let them burn. I rather just drill you with 3 shots and be done with it.

The look and the sound of the gun is really cool. I'm not the greatest with hand cannons but I enjoy using Hawkmoon over Thorn.

Hawkmoon is a one shot kill with luck in chamber headshot. Plus range is amazing.

Sometimes and/or most of the time two or three of the bullets will stack and make you cause a one shot kill

Pre range nerf hawkmoon could out gun snipers, suros, and virtually anything. Now there is no point other than saying hey look at me I have the hawkmoon. This is coming from an avid hawkmoon user back when it was on its prime. Xbox users won't ever get to experience it's true power even when it didn't have that reload perk. They ruined my favorite gun in this game sadly.

I've got 3 Hawkmoons, haven't got the bounty or qwest for Thorn, so I have no Thorn.

1 ReplyBecause thorn is a gun made for assholes and jerks. I want hawkmoon so people won't consider me a prick or a fúcking bitch. Hawkmoon is a Heroes weapon unlike thorn.

7 Repliesit actually gives a chance at a one shot kill because the extra damage has a chance to stack. So there is a slight chance you can get 3X damage from one bullet. Also, Hawkmoon is always a 2 shot head shot kill, while Thorn can be countered with the right armor or Red Death. Hawkmoon also has more range. Thorn is a crutch for people that can not aim and rely on DOT to do their killing for them. Same goes for TLW also
