I enjoyed the shit out of Destiny. I love what it COULD be. But I can only deal with so much... so, this is how I show I'm unhappy and want change. If 50,000 canceled their $40 preorder - that's $2MM. They'd listen.

WoW, Microsoft actually gets in touch with you if you cancel a pre-order? Sony would totally be like "impersonal email states that item was cancelled, debit refunded, confirmation number, end transmission." While that sounds all cool and personal... It also reminds me of AOL begging you to stay when you tried to close you account.

I was upset but after some thought I'm ok with it. If ttk has 2/3 the content of vanilla Destiny (since it's 2/3 the price - I know vanilla had limited content to begin with) then I'll be happy to play more Destiny. As for the collectors stuff, I've decided I won't buy it for a few reasons, mainly price. But also, I don't necessarily need the xp boost, I play enough that I should level stuff up fairly quickly. Also, I'd like to put off reaching that point where I have nothing to do in game as long as I can. So, yes, $40 is steep, but September is a good amount of time away and things can change, I'll wait till then to be upset (if it warrants it).

It may have taken many hours of many people's time but there is no value in that to me. It may take money to keep this game progressing but that money should come from somewhere else. Are you serious right now??? Every company is in it for the money unless they are 503c. And even then they still have overhead and employees. I can't believe the absolute lack of concern for other people's well being. Yes they make a profit. That's how they invest in future games and technology development and talent aquisition. 3 RepliesYou do realise that if no one pre-ordered and no one played the game it would cause more problems for destiny then fix it right? You have to realise that bungie is under contract with activision, meaning they have targets and goals to meet and ultimately the future of this game is down to them meeting this target. And you will know if you read the terms and conditions of destiny that their servers can be shut down at any point without notice, your thread is a silly one.
