I've been surfing this forum on and off all day and all I see are posts about Luke and his interview. So what? Bungie is out to make money....good for them. Profit isn't a dirty word. Companies go into business to turn a profit in case you were wondering. Simply put, pay what they're asking or don't play the game.

Edited by CobraKye6: 6/23/2015 5:12:04 AMThe Luke interview came off really bad. It makes it look like bungie doesn't care what kind of product they are putting out because we are all mindless monkeys that will "throw money at the screen". Also it came off as "hey we got your money so we don't care". Making a profit is not the problem, selling different packages is not the problem. It's how bungie is acting like they don't care about the customers or their products that is the problem. I am fine with the price and the co extort edition. What I'm not okay with is not caring because people will throw money at the screen.

8 Repliesbecause 40 pounds is more than 40 dollars. it isn't an equal pricing system. also, as a dlc expansion, for it to be worth 40 dollars it needs to add at least as much content to the game as there is already in the game. doubling its size. however, what most people are irritated about is the lack of a year one collectors edition option that comes without the vanilla game or the previous two expansions. because we already have those. but to get the extra goodies... you must purchase content that you already have. and THAT is what people are mad about.

Well it started off innocently enough bungie announced a collectors edition. They included incentives not available to loyal players. That and the fact that the collectors edition was such a significant decrease in price led many to feel slapped in the face. From there things have been spiraling.

Edited by dstrat71: 6/23/2015 4:46:47 AMCorporate greed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes pricing structure is always going to be different across countries, but the pricing simply does not line up! Also the gaming industry has been very clever in fooling gamers into paying over-inflated prices for digital copies, which have far far less over-heads than pressed copies (discs & packaging). $80 or $120 on Australian PSN store (digital copy) is just ridiculous. They have no manufacturing costs, no packaging costs, no shipping costs, and on top of that we have to download it! using up our monthly data allowance!! Yes they have development costs, etc. but this pricing is ridiculous!!!

yeah its bad pr when they tell you to your face that you will throw money at a screen for emotes and if you are to thick skulled to see that well then good luck in the world

It is just a game after all... Want to be a sport and split my bill? Make me feel a bit better about them overcharging the players.

Every greedy business needs clients with limited capacity for independent thought. These forums clearly show Bungie has a deep audience not easily provoked to actions of self interest.
