Why are throwing knives not instant kills to the dome?
So I love my throwing knife but sometimes in PvP I throw it at their dome piece and they just won't die unless they have taken damage earlier.
Would this be too OP if it did? Any other hunters feel the same. Only reason I state this is even with the burn damage it's not always a 1 hit It might just leave a sliver of health if your lucky assuming you never did any damage before to them.
I should be able to get that kill guaranteed at least with a burning knife and not have to follow up. Lol I mean you would think hunters would have the instant kill melee oh well.... Btw when I say instant I mean just to know that the burn damage alone will always finish them.

Helmets, it just makes a little dent or crack in the helmet, if you want one shot kill to the head make the knife so it burns by editing your perks.

Eh it's not too hard to quickly body shot someone and then finish them off with knife. It'd be op to have a ohk melee.

Headshot with throwing knives are too easy and have loads of aim assist. Stack this with an abundant amount of strength and perks, you got one shot kills all game

Bungie already said why it isn't in a weekly update a while ago. Much more range than other melees. Plus you can have two.

In game types in which levels count, a burning knife to the face can kill if they are 1 level lower

3 RepliesEach Guardian has a personal shield, and is wearing a helmet. Unless their shields are down or weak, it wont be an one hit kill. Makes sense right? A throwing knife that has enough stopping power to bring shields down AND pierce a combat helmet?

Mainly, because then the whiny babies who suck at this game would cry and cry about it. Mostly Titans who hide in their bubble, and panic slam for half their kills. And Warlocks whos melee has as much range and power as shotguns. And can also rise from the dead. That's why.

Sounds great. But it would be OP, I mean I suck at crucible but still juggle two knives on my hunter for fun and someone who knows what he's doing would probably wreck with it. Today I killed a sunsinger with a throwing knife and when he revived I shot him with Mida and my second knife killed him again lol
