Why are throwing knives not instant kills to the dome?
So I love my throwing knife but sometimes in PvP I throw it at their dome piece and they just won't die unless they have taken damage earlier.
Would this be too OP if it did? Any other hunters feel the same. Only reason I state this is even with the burn damage it's not always a 1 hit It might just leave a sliver of health if your lucky assuming you never did any damage before to them.
I should be able to get that kill guaranteed at least with a burning knife and not have to follow up. Lol I mean you would think hunters would have the instant kill melee oh well.... Btw when I say instant I mean just to know that the burn damage alone will always finish them.

1 ReplySo last night i killed some 1 full health again in trials level 34. With fire throwing knife... With the burn on the knife. And let me tell you they fcking die !!! If you headshot them with it.

As it currently is, it's too easy to get throwing knife headshots. Not to mention the fact that Hunters can carry 2 of them at a time. Warlocks have Radiance-Scorch (super only) Titans have shoulder charge (OHKO but risky because of all the shotguns) Hunters have Backstab Blink Strike (Glitches out so much that you get the OHKO even when you frontal melee them in a weird angle)

Because the head is almost entirely protected by bone and a knife isn't gonna cut it. Pun intended. It always boggled my mind that in CoD a knife could bounce off a wall to hit me in the foot for and instant kill, yet a direct headshot from an assault rifle was non lethal.

Only if they toned down the aim assist but the burning effect definitely needs something done because mine never register and I use to always keep it on. Eventually I just stopped using incendiary blade.

Because aim assist is like 3.14 its huge and if you use the burn with it itll make them absolute

It's pretty easy to land a headshot with a throwing knife. I was gonna say having it be a OHKO would be too easy, but then I remembered Felwinter's Lie and Blink existed.

Also...titans and warlocks keep their melee charge if they miss their target....but the hunter does not. You miss that knife throw and you gotta recharge. I think a headshot with a burning knife should be a one hit kill.

Helmets, it just makes a little dent or crack in the helmet, if you want one shot kill to the head make the knife so it burns by editing your perks.
