For everyone else there's... everything else. That being said, Samsung is trying to adopt some of Apple's god-awful design decisions (non-removable battery, no SD card, etc.), so I'll probably be moving to some other Android-based manufacturer.

4 RepliesiOS is trash. Android has hiccups but the platform is so much more open. I hate being restricted to all of Apples crappy programs and interfaces and iPhones dont allow for upgradeable storage, part replacement I can do myself, they shatter so easily, along with many other things. I will NEVER own an iPhone.

I've had both and don't really have a preference. Which ever has the phone I feel is best for me when I have an upgrade is the one I get. Right now I'm rocking the Note 4.

Neither it's are about remote play with the Sony Xperia z3! Gotta take a dump while in a raid no problem grab your phone and drop crota/atheon and a duce in one blow.

3 RepliesHeres my take on it. Apple has a beatiful interfce and samsungs is horribly old and dated looking. That is a big deal to me since im looking at the screen all day.... If you are looking for a nice looking interface on an Android i would get a HTC ONE M9. The display is actually attractive to look at like apples.

2 RepliesI like Android system but it always screwed up for me. App can't load, app failed, app crashed. It's practically Windows on a phone. Why I stopped with Windows for PC. And that's coming from an IT guy!!

This is all entirely subjective. I have had an iphone 3gs and I currently own a galaxy s4. I have come to like the android system more than the apple but they both have pros and cons. Also, best buy was running a special s4 promo in december one year. $49 for a new s4 if you were eligible for an upgrade and I was. Also, this was before the release of the s5. I am rather superficial in that I cared about a big screen and louder speakers. Also, note that I believe that apple would rather cut it's own "you know what" off before selling their most recent model for only $49. One thing I do want to add is that I do not compare my 3gs to my s4 because it isn't a fair comparison for obvious reasons. Ultimately they both do the same things just in different ways. I just prefer the android system.

That aside, the army sent me to Korea once, I have few fond memories of that place or their business practices. I have the same issues with android as I do with PCs. They do some things really well, they do many things an iPhone/Mac can't do, but they feel cheap and sloppy. In the end, I've had to run Pro Tools on both platforms and I've had all manner of cell phones over the years and they all pretty much do the same thing when it comes down to it. So, at I'm just going with what's comfortable and the most idiot-proof at this point in my life as I have less time to deal with hardware/software that needs my attention. P.S. Shouldn't this be in #offtopic

Samsung builds crap, sells crap and doesn't honor warranty on said crap. They also go for useless features to solve problems nobody has (ooh! A 1/4" screen on the side of my phone? How innovative and useless!) Apple has been on a steady decline since Jobs died, but they'd have to dig deep to unseat Samsung as the bottom of the barrel.
