I am so excited its ridiculous its beyond words. I loved this game as a kid, and have so many good memories.
I hope they keep it turn based combat, but if they change it that won't be a deal breaker for me. I can't wait till more info comes out about it I haven't been this hyped for a game in far too long.

No. Absolutely not. Don't change one -blam!-ing thing. No new gameplay, no voice acting. Just make it the exact 20 year old FF7 with advent children graphics.

Yeah that sounds about right. I will be super bummed but I think the excitement of going back into that world will be able to make up for it.

I've also seen people upset that Nomura said the story won't be exactly the same as the original.

Little things here and there are okay, it is a remake not just a graphics upgrade so that's kinda to be expected. It will be a very fine line they have to walk though. There are some things that if they change people will immediately snap their disc in two and start a nude riot of lunatics screaming nonsense and gibberish that only the other naked lunatics understand with the occasional yelled "I KNOW RIGHT!!!" Nobody wants to see that happen

I completely agree that I'd snap my disc in half if that scene doesn't happen, or if they try to do some dumb shit where you can get Tifa to take her place.

Yeah I just assumed everyone in this thread would have been vets that's my bad. Yeah it was huge for me as well as it was for almost all FF7 players I have talked to.
