In theory, etheric light is suppose to bump you up to the new light level or whatever. Sooooo.... I'm gonna store as many as I can and bumpity boo myself to light level "derp" when the DLC comes out.... Hopefully.
If not, then WTF is the point of adding all this new stuff only to make it useless in the next DLC?

On gear you can upgrade it says upgrades to the max level of year one, or something like that

Maybe there will be "Atheric light" for yr 2 stuff... lol I really love my VoG chest piece :3

Upgrade path changes every dlc so you'll be wasting your time.

But the idea is the best they've had so far for upgrading. They'll just change the name for etheric light and make you acquire the new stuff I hope.

Etheric Light is only good to the highest level of year 1. It's in the description.

They always introduce a new material with each dlc , i also dont see weapons transferring over from year 1 to year 2.
