Upgraded Legendary Weapons with Etheric Light Become 331 Damage When Reforged
Just a few minutes ago, I reforged a Judgement Vl in which I upgraded with Etheric Light. I went to reforge it to get better perks. I got the perks I wanted but soon found out that the gun was back at 331 damage.
I am extremely pissed now. Not only is that Etheric Light thing bullshit, it's very valuable and hard to get. And for that to pretty much waste an Etheric Light, it's really -blam!-ing annoying.
Fix your shit Bungie...

It should have at least have your etheric light back. I was surprised and thought it was lame to not give back your etheric light when you Dismantle something you already applied if to. Like exotic shards or any shards for that matter. But what did you expect it's bungie oh and it does warn you this before reforging. I made the mistake on leg armor ascended the wrong pair almost deleted them in hopes to get my etheric light back until someone told me it won't.

Yea clearly states this. I have 4 light just sitting and have Done Skolas last two weeks.. Please just keep trying to get them. Actually not as hard as you think.

Gotta say, it's no one's fault but your own. Read about what you're going to do before you actually do it next time. Says clearly right on the reforge button that it's going to reset all progress on the weapon.

Ethiric lights arnt hard to come by u just have to be good and blam u got some.

Nothing to fix , reforging removes ascension and all upgrades. Don't use Etheric Light until ur happy with ur weapon...then Ascend it

If you read carefully, it says that reforging would erase weapon progression and ascention... Read first dont complain on the forums.

1 ReplyI'm sorry for your loss. But it has been stated specifically by bungie, countless others, and in the reforge description. And in case you don't already know, you won't get etheric light back from dismantling ascended armor or variks' armor either.
