Thorn used by half of ToO
50% of weapons used by winners in Trials was thorn. Bungie was quick to act when suros was the most used, what's with the holdup, Deej?
Heres the list to check for yourself. No land beyond was higher than Suros and someone won with Khovostov. Credit to SpiffyJr on Reddit, i found the image originally on Twitter.

Edit: this isn't a thorn cri post, i have one and use it here and there. This is a post attempting to bring light to the fact that the guns are horribly unbalanced in Destiny pvp. Im a sniper, please keep using shotties doesnt matter to me. However, fusions are terrible, shotties run crucible along with handcannons and everyone just wants to say "stop with the nerfs!!"

Bungie has probably been too busy with E3 to deal with Trials of Thorn. I hope they make changes soon.

I love crucible but these guns are so OP that if bungie doesn't nerf them by TKK I can see people not even trying out the new guns. the MAIN reason I haven't done trials is because of the thorn. takes out all the fun and variety of the game mode. I wanna see people wrecking with autos, pulse rifles and scout rifles not just the thorn.

They were quick to address the Ahamkara Spine bug, so this leaves me to believe that Thorn IS working as intended.

I use the multi tool. Not even thorn can beat me, yeah thorn is op but I'll still wreck anyone using it in trials or crucible. Add me if you need a team by the way (OnTheLow16)

1 ReplyThis just shows what happens every time they nerf/buff specific weapons. Thorn use to be useless, now it's a pvp god. Auto rifle nerf? Now they are useless! Vex nerf, pretty much useless. I don't think Bungie understand the meaning of balancing. Nerf the range of hand cannons making them useful in the close quarter maps. Buff autos and scouts but make them useless in close quarters, meaning they are only good in the longer range maps. This will mean weapons become situational and we don't continuously see the same weapons been used for everything.

Thorn users are cheap as -blam!-, but not immune. I went 9-2 right before the reset with only one person on my team using the thorn, i personally prefer the mida.

13 RepliesI get tired of hearing people complain one way or the other about the thorn. Complete the bounty and use it yourself. Anyone can get it. What I find funny though is the guy who posted this nonsense says he uses a sniper. I bet he use the spear and rolled it until he got final round, shoots off the other 2 rounds as the match starts, catches a body shot and drops them and then proceeds to pat himself on the back like he's gods gift to crucibles. Just shut up already.

Edited by LordStilton07: 6/23/2015 8:58:44 AMSUROS was nerfed because 25% used it during IB when there was an AUTO RIFLE HEADSHOTS bounty. Thorn is way above that usage, in a more competitive playlist. Also I played against 3 guys using the Kvostov and Icebreaker this weekend.

Hey... Fusion rifle are [b]not[/b] terrible. I decided to use my summoner (adept), my plug one, and my super good advice, and I won two rumble matches in a row. The first one, I won going 22-6. Fusion rifles are actually usable... Js.
