Etheric light --- how should we be able to obtain more?
I think etheric light still seems more rare than it should be. Exotic shards way easier to obtain.
Yes, 3 from 34 PoE and 3 from 35, but I would contend that most people aren't grinding skolas 3x per week.
I feel like we should get 1 from ranking a faction/vanguard/crucible -- first of the week, 3 per week in total.
Any other reasonable ideas we should/could obtain etheric light that isn't giving us, way more than we are currently getting?

Most responses have been negative in nature. What an awful awful community these forums are. So many people flexing those enormous internet muscles. Ridiculous.
How about this: if you don't have anything constructive to add, just move along.

There is enough available now. Everyone thinks you need hundreds but after you get 20 or so any upgrade what you wNt, they are not as important. However I do wish they came with the 32s also for those who cannot complete 34s yet.

Big chest from PoE on any level. Really Low chance for Lvl 28, normal chance for 32, higher chance for 34, extremely high for 35.

I'd say a nice one would be a special bounty from Petra only after completing all of her bounties for the week. This would involve a special encounter similar to Urzok, where you have to hunt him down during a public event or specific wolves encounter. He wouldn't be required to kill to get the ether chest so that people who don't need to kill him aren't forced to deal with him.

It's easy to get if you have tons of time to play Destiny in a week. For those of us who really only have enough gaming time to do Nightfalls and Weekly strikes, or for those who can't find a good team for Prison at higher levels or Trials, Etheric Light is NOT easy to come by. And before any idiots go and say "play more" or "got gud", just don't, shut up. My point is that not all of us have a lot of time to play Destiny I'm a given week. So far my main source of E.L. was Iron Banner, and only then because I had a lot of time off that week to get everyone to rank 5. And I used all 6 of that E.L. to you are my IB gear. I'm not complaining really, because I'm in no rush to Ascend all my guns, and all my characters can now hit 34 so I stand a better chance in Trials and PoE when I can find time to play. I'm just making the point that E.L. is only easy to obtain if you have the time to put into every activity that awards it, every week. Not all of us do, and I think it's great that some people do have the time, but just respect that some of us don't. I'm also not saying that there should be.more ways to obtain E.L. as I'm.happy with the current ways to do so. I just need more time to play the game, which Summer should provide. Once I get through Witcher 3 and Batman of course.

I work weird hours and my friends aren't playing as much as usual. Most nights I play alone so I won't be getting etheric light anytime soon...

IMO it's appropriately hard to get. We get new content in 4ish months so if it were too easy then I would lose interest. But I can see the point of wanting more, having only 2 non RNG EL available per week per character in PvE can be a struggle

You can get Etheric light from: •Trials of Osiris (Total possible: 3 per character) •PoE (Total Possible: 2 per character) •Nightfalls (Total possible: 1 per character) You have 18 chances to get Etheric light a week. That's plenty to do whatever you want. Even if you don't have time to play a lot, you can do the 34 Prison. It's easy.

2 RepliesThis forum isn't a good place to ask since it represents maybe 5-10% of total destiny players. Most people aren't playing trials and swimming in light.

I just do PoE, nightfall, and try to ToO. I'm not in a rush so I'm not doing the whole 3x a week thing. I already got my main weapons ascended going the slow path so there's really no need for other ways of getting it. You don't want to be spoon fed it.

I really don't think we need more ways to get etheric light. Iv only got one character to level 34 and am currently on a break (Heros of the storm!). But I look forward to coming back and taking on those challenges to get more. I think bungie gave us just the right amount. Not so little we won't be able to do what we want to do but not so much that we breeze through upgrading all our old guns.

I picked up six during Iron Banner week. If anything it's too easy to get. House of Wolves is barely out and people already have all characters at max level. Gaining levels and maxing rank is far too easy is Destiny.
