Etheric light --- how should we be able to obtain more?
I think etheric light still seems more rare than it should be. Exotic shards way easier to obtain.
Yes, 3 from 34 PoE and 3 from 35, but I would contend that most people aren't grinding skolas 3x per week.
I feel like we should get 1 from ranking a faction/vanguard/crucible -- first of the week, 3 per week in total.
Any other reasonable ideas we should/could obtain etheric light that isn't giving us, way more than we are currently getting?

Most responses have been negative in nature. What an awful awful community these forums are. So many people flexing those enormous internet muscles. Ridiculous.
How about this: if you don't have anything constructive to add, just move along.

You're expected to play all parts of the game to get plenty of etheric light - problem is some parts of the game are utterly boring.

I don't consider these as to rare, if u want it you have to grind 3 times 34 and 35 prision and that's okay, I'm doing that for all my characters on two evenings the week. No muscle flexing only thing your wrong with this one

8 RepliesI'm mostly a 90's player, and if you don't know what that is, it means I still prefer to play games with friends in my room and mostly enjoy single player content we all laugh at or watch each other play. The common, I don't know, attitude or belief about destiny around my circle is that it is a very boring, stupid game. I don't champion destiny, but I very much still enjoy it and don't find it any of that and often still play it while I am falling asleep. The etheric light is almost ib exclusive for me. It is the only content where solo players are not locked out. What this game is missing is solo challenges, ones that are designed and not cheese. Sorry for the novel, but I feel the more background blueprint, maybe people will understand there are a plethora of gamers locked out that aren't looking for handouts. We're looking for reasons to keep playing this game.

That's not going to happen. ..and that is a constructive comment. Level PoEs gives you an opportunity to get a guarenteed 3-6 ELs per week. Trials of Osiris, gives additional opportunities (for winning teams) to get guarenteed Etheric lights. Iron Banner gives you an additional opportunity to get 3-6 guarenteed ELs per month. Plus you can get ELs to drop as Nightfall awards every week. Etheric Light is an END-GAME reward for high level HoWs play. If you aren't playing the End Game, then it is unreasonable for you to expect the game to give you its rewards anyway. If you have HoWs, put a FT together and start playing the arenas. If you don't, then you are going to have to settle for a much slower rate of progression...and I suggest you start playing Iron Banner each month. Getting to level 3 is not that hard if you take advantage of all the buffs. ...and you dont' even have to be that good. Better players can carry you to wins at that level. All you have to do is be willing to take your lumps and participate.

And Xur should sell it. He sells Exotic Shards. It's funny that Legendaries are harder to upgrade than Exotics. That said...I also understand thay they have to be careful not to undermine Prison of Elders & Trials of Osiris. The downside now...is that most people will only take 34s into Prison & Trials. So if you weren't in the initial bum rush you are S.O.L Bottom line is...they need people to keep playing & the game has been hemorrhaging players ever since the majority of the playerbase started having issues with Etheric Light & Treasure Keys. That big chest should Guarantee atleast 1 Etheric Light. Edit: Or 1 Etheric Light for the first Big Chest opened with a key each week. Treasure Keys STILL do not drop frequently (I haven't run PoE 32 yet on my Hunter because I need a Key) and the big chest loot is disappointing adding Etheric Light would really up the value of the keys & make prison feel more worth it on all difficulties.

Ok first off, just take the criticism. If you post on an online forum you will have to accept that not everybody will be "constructive". Now to the point, there are already enough ways to get etheric light, and many people have too much. I don't really have that much but I still don't know what I should do with it. If you do all of the activities each week, you'll get plenty of it.

I have about 10 and all the gun I wanted to ascend are ascended, I even ascended a couple guns I don't use just to make space

It is difficult to acquire, I agree, especially when you only have 1 character like me. But, I think the system works. It took me awhile but after my first half dozen I don't really need anymore. I have 5 or 6 right now just chillin. They're difficult to get but you really don't need that many. You'll get there guardian.

I think it's good as is. It makes leveling up your favorite legendary guns very satisfying, and makes you really pay attention to all the stats of the armor you level. I have not paid as much attention before as I do now, knowing my etheric light is valuable. I think everyone just needs to be okay with the fact that this was put in to help the game take longer to wear out, ultimately it's what we have asked for. And it has added variety at the same time.

Leveling a faction would be cool gives the PvP folks a means to get it that's not tied to trials. I'd like to see it added to Variks for purchase once a week for a combo of those tokens that keep dropping. Or perhaps when you break down one of those tokens a chance for e light. Hell I'd take our selling them for strange coins. I mean he sells the upgrade for exotics. Why should legendary items be harder to ascend then exotics?

I think it's ok I mean if you do trials then you can get some in skolas and PoE its resonable I guess I still think keys are rare

I'm 0/12 in nightfalls for light - out of usual 3 man team I think we are 2/36 (maybe 3/36) Drop rate seems pretty low imho - I know others have fared better.

None at all. With the current system I have about 8 I have no use for. It's like all currency systems you have none then too much. If you are hurting for it go play trials, you don't even need to do particularly well, or complete all the Poe difficulties.

5 RepliesIts not easy to get if your playing without friends and a gally which is sad. I'm a day one player and gally still evades me and I struggle to get in any groups because everyone wants a gally. I can't get in any Poe lv34 or 35s 😔
