Etheric light --- how should we be able to obtain more?
I think etheric light still seems more rare than it should be. Exotic shards way easier to obtain.
Yes, 3 from 34 PoE and 3 from 35, but I would contend that most people aren't grinding skolas 3x per week.
I feel like we should get 1 from ranking a faction/vanguard/crucible -- first of the week, 3 per week in total.
Any other reasonable ideas we should/could obtain etheric light that isn't giving us, way more than we are currently getting?

Most responses have been negative in nature. What an awful awful community these forums are. So many people flexing those enormous internet muscles. Ridiculous.
How about this: if you don't have anything constructive to add, just move along.

90% of the gear I have left isn't worth upgrading and just novelty gear... so currently I am getting plenty of light....

2 RepliesMost responses are negative because you're being a whiny bitch. There are plenty of ways to get lights. Both random and guaranteed. You can also run those activities 3x a week.

1 ReplyI don't understand how people are still struggling to get etheric light i have more then i can use, if everything was handed to you it makes for a very short game, i wish it was a little harder to obtain would of made the dlc more fun.

They already made getting to 34 too easy to be honest..... The content is supposed to last months not weeks.... I've beat skolas twice and been to lighthouse once (so I'm not one who has done 3x per week each week) and have 6 etheric light in vault deciding what to use it on....

It's so easy to obtain I have 4 in the vault and they are gonna keep stacking with weeks to come if you just play the game you get it it's not that hard

I think most people just disagree that there should be more opportunities to get EL. It's abundant as it is.

10 RepliesEtheric Light is essentially equivalent to raid gear...You get 1 piece for doing 34 and 1 more if you can handle 35. That's 2 guaranteed raid level gear per character per week. You also get armour/weapon core that lets you get raid-level gears. Compared to raids, the drop rate for "raid-level" gear is much higher. The complaint about lack of EL is unwarranted especially compared to the past drop rate for stuff....+ the chest at the end with key can net you another weapon + exotic chance! + Skolas gives you exotic bounties + sometimes elemental primaries!!!!! Give all the sh!t bungie is giving you for little to no work....I don't think EL, which is the most coveted leveling item this DLC, should not be any more accessible lol. IB even gave you 2 if you max which they've made sooooo much easier to level up lol. Do the bounties and play on Sunday = instant level 3 which = 1 EL.

I have 5 reasons for PvE atm. 1 two more exotic bounties for HoW. 2 lvl 4 with Queen and PoE Varkis. 3 blue swirl. 4 upgrade gear. 5 etheric light. As you can see they coincide with each other, soon I'll be out of reasons other than messing around to play PvE.

I would say we are good. I have about ten collecting dust. But it would be nice to get something. Useful from helping others in raids

flawless trials gives you 3 or 2 if you just get 8 wins. Iron banner had 2 for sale. Nightfall if you're lucky

I have 15 sitting i. My vault and i havent played much the past 3 weeks. Got 3 character at 34. I restarted 2 of them this weekend to have some fun.

You're expected to play all parts of the game to get plenty of etheric light - problem is some parts of the game are utterly boring.
