Etheric light --- how should we be able to obtain more?
I think etheric light still seems more rare than it should be. Exotic shards way easier to obtain.
Yes, 3 from 34 PoE and 3 from 35, but I would contend that most people aren't grinding skolas 3x per week.
I feel like we should get 1 from ranking a faction/vanguard/crucible -- first of the week, 3 per week in total.
Any other reasonable ideas we should/could obtain etheric light that isn't giving us, way more than we are currently getting?

Most responses have been negative in nature. What an awful awful community these forums are. So many people flexing those enormous internet muscles. Ridiculous.
How about this: if you don't have anything constructive to add, just move along.

Shortly I will have no more use for etheric light which means no use for Poe. Getting the guns and armour from vog and Croat was the mission. Now it's upgrading what you use. In a couple weeks won't need a way to get more

Not to be disrespectful but I literally have etheric light flying out of my ass..... I get 9 a week going flawless in trial across all my characters then I get 6 more from doing PoE and then I might get a couple off the nightfall..... I think 15 a week is more then enough for me.... I have all my raid sets and my guns maxed and still have some left over

2 RepliesWe all have vaults full of gear we'd like to upgrade so although we can pick and choose what to upgrade, honestly, we all would like to upgrade everything we have. That's a lot of etheric. Imo: 1) one etheric for weekly and nightfall guaranteed. 2) IB rep 3 stays the same but two etheric availiable for rep 5 (let's make rep 5 stand out from 3, please) 3) one etheric from ANY poe chest (ie, a treasure key guarantees an etheric)

3 RepliesI'm not even doing Skolas and I'm swimming in EL. Why don't you just play the game? Do Nightfall, do IB when it's active, to a bit of Trials, do 34 and maybe 35 once a week...boom, you'll have more than enough Light. And if you're not doing 35, there isn't even a point in having lvl 34 or 365 weapons. Best tipp: Don't try to upgrade any shit weapon and gearpart you have.

I do agree. The only other way is to suffer through trials, which is likely going to get you none because trials is full of hackers and cheaters preventing a single win. Don't listen to the elitist jackasses who make smartass comments like "I have 10 git gud" That's what we call luck, Rng doesn't favor everyone after all. The package idea is cool, theoretically it'd be five, possibly seven if you could count queens rank. You'd have have Vanguard, Crucible, DO, Monarchy, and FwC rank packages. Maybe the cryptarch too, making six. However that'd be too simple the way I see it.

i kinda like the reputation rank up packages idea. at the very least you get a chance at getting one from a package if not a guarantee

Maybe like every other faction rank or something? So it wouldn't be [i]too[/i] easy to get but would be somewhat balanced

1 ReplyMy complaint as well... while I see some sitting on a bank full of them, I've only had them from the 34... 3 total.. My sorry ass has a job so I can't devote 24 hours a day to it... lucky if I can get 2 hours in every other day now...

Nightfalls, poe, trials, iron banner (when it returns) in my opinion that is enough, its way to easy to get. I mean have you seen some of the people trying raids now they are 34, they don't even know what to do, but because they are 34 now they think they know everything. I got to 34 on the first from doing the 32,34 poe and a nightfall. And that wasn't even trying to grind it, was just a quick evening run after work. Was actually disappointed. I now have about 30 in the vault with all characters max and weapons (that I use) if anything they need to make it harder.[b][u] I hope the next dlc actually takes some efforts to level up[/u][/b]. ( plus the new iron banner buff for lower ranked iron banner characters really helps, just do the bountys each day and all your characters will be level 5 by the end of the week)

2 RepliesThe vast Majority of players will not be able to get 34s done each week let alone 35s, especially after launch of ESO dwindling the roster. Nightfall maybe. Crucible is down right torture to any normal human being who does not take pleasure in the pain of others.

90% of the gear I have left isn't worth upgrading and just novelty gear... so currently I am getting plenty of light....
