195 RepliesI'm calling out almost everyone here. What you seem to think feminism is, is wrong. You've confused it with misandry. Here's the crux of it: if you support equal rights for women and men, you're a feminist - it's literally the definition of the word. If you think men are superior/women are inferior, you're a misogynist. If you think women are superior/men are inferior, you're a misandrist. It's not that hard.

They claim they want equality for women, but they keep forgetting about, or ignoring, all those little, special exceptions only women get to have, apparently. It's a shame, because technically, I would consider myself a feminist according to the real definition. :/

Yes, but a lot of people think that 'modern day feminism' is just a bunch of irrelevant bloggers, it is not! There are people who actually do real work but they don't tend to get as much attention as the misandrists shouting wolf over and over again on tumblr. Feminism is by definition the strive for equality of the sexes. I refuse to let some spoiled privileged white attention seeking idiots change that definition! The problem today is that if a woman speaks her mind on something gender related she is assumed to be a feminist even when she's far from it.

If one is to take a creed of equal rights for all, one is an egalitarian. And to those who would argue this point, such as Pillow Pet or Dazarobbo, reflect on how few try and argue over wether gay means homosexual, or happy, wether fàggot means homosexual, or a pile of sticks.
