Elder Scrolls Online Review (Xbox One PS4)
2 steps backwards for another franchise, now i understand why the game got so much heat. Terrible just terrible, from loading screens to story to combat, if you never heard of elder scrolls before and i told you that ESO was released before skyrim, you would believe me because ESO does not innovate or improve upon its predecessor in fact its a downgrade from the elder scrolls experience. PvP is unbalanced and the lag is not helping, my attacks are sometimes not counted and i even encountered invisible enemies not even taking damage. The story is non existent, after you do the first chapter, thats pretty much it for the story. As for graphics, there just awful, so much for next gen and i can even go as far as to say that skyrim looks much better than this garbage. Seven years of development just for this, instead of wasting time on this failed experiment they could be making elder scrolls 6. The game is so full bugs and glitches that quest NPCs would be invisible therefore you cant complete that quest. My horse cant sprint and so cant i, combat is so linear... dragon age 2 style combat...
Final verdict 3/10 just play skyrim or stay on destiny...

2 RepliesBethesda didn't make this and are working on fallout 4 and tes6, zena max made this with the blessing from Bethesda to use the elder scrolls world. As for mmo's graphics clearly you have never played one before as there about gameplay and mechanics rather than graphics so more people can fight each other and be on the screen at the same time, etc. Further on the next gen topic, this is current gen now and ESO has been out for a while on pc this is a port over not a newly created world / game for ps4 or xone. I agree the game is terrible, it's the same as the pc version which had more release problems so the console re release is great in comparison as there's a ton less problems and a ton fixed. Sadly the pc version is dead as its a crap game and people once the novelty wares off will realise the exact same on the consoles.

I really hope every person who says something similar to this realizes that this was not made nor was it even worked on by any of the Bethesda staff. It is a MMORPG that was created by Zenimax, with an Elder Scrolls skin placed on it. It's not part of the Elder Scrolls series. It's not part of the lore. It should be judged as a standalone game, not part of the amazing [b]SINGLE PLAYER[/b] franchise. I suggest re-thinking your review and not judging it as part of the Elder Scrolls series.

In skyrim i had a glitch that wouldn't let me complete the thieves guild (It took months to patch)along with crashes and frame rate issues and that's just a few of the issues it had, and if you have played Destiny since day one you should know the glitches and issues it had.

Have you played an proper mmorpg before regardless of testing prior to release they always suffer with issues personally in terms of the graphics it's an mmo as in a lot of people occupying the areas at once the servers has to process what all the Ayers are doing at the same time so you compensate on graphics to allow for the most optimal performance and if you had seen any of their reveal gameplay and looked at other mmo's before hand this is to be expected unless the start using military grade super computers in which case prices will go up. In terms of gameplay issues I experienced the same at midnight of release when I came back later on all singing and dancing honestly not sure what you were expecting from this type of game but never mind plenty more games out there

Really it just launched on consoles all mmorpgs improve as they go. But your feedback isn't all wrong. Just a lot of things to improve on. Destiny had the same issue when it first launched as well. They can only really speculate how many people will be on so it's normal to have login issues to begin with.
