Which Special Weapon Did You Ascend First?
... a Sniper rifle, Sidearm, Shotgun or Fusion rifle?
Edit 1: This is more a question about legendaries, since exotics are relatively easy to level up. Just curious which was the first legendary special you spent an etheric light on.
Edit 2: So far the consensus seems to be a tie between Found Verdict and Black Hammer
Edit 3: The race is still neck and neck between Found Verdict and Black Hammer, so it looks like shotguns and snipers are definitely the most useful. Shame to see Fusion rifles have fallen so low in terms of usefulness.

The problem was your power starting to wane With the dark below came a powerful gun Using you became no longer fun The swordbreaker hitting hard at 331 A great void shotty was winning the wars Tearing up everything... especially minotaurs In the crucible I even forgot you were born When crotas gun gifted me the poisonous Thorn A lot of great weapons came from the VOG But I couldn't of done it with Atheons epilogue After that, my PVP days ground to a halt The Thorn now collects dust in my vault But then came a rumour of a new DLC With a fallen raid... which became POE On the live stream I witnessed a wonderfull sight A new upgrade material.... etheric light My eyes were wide open and jaw hit the floor Before i knew it... i was at the vault of glass door It had been a while, i ended up having a blast I even managed to get the elusive Mythoclast But finally the Templar decided to drop it I was more excited than when i got the gjally exotic With my old friend now at 365 I no longer run from knights of the hive Fallen captains and reavers... it melts them like butter A pile of corpses lay stacked in the gutter This top tier gun belongs on pedastal or podium Because its saved me from more wipes than a box of immodium

1 ReplyFound Verdict mainly because 300 to 365 is more bang for the light than 331 to 365

Found verdict was my first special, but not including exotics, I did in order fatebringer, VOC, Fang, found verdict, light of the abyss, praedynths revenge, corrective measure the first week. Exotics I did were gjallahorn and ice breaker. I now have 365 fatebringer, VoC , ice breaker and GJALLAHORN on each character separately and it makes swapping characters so easy as I have tons of weapons but that mix of weapons can do it all.
