Has everyone forgot how to do VOG
I have been having no luck lately with running vog on hard seems like no one understands what to do anymore.
Anyone else having similar issues.
EDIT: over 1000 responses lots of good ones and people who seem to be committed to helping sherpa others through this raid.

I ran vog for the first time in months yesterday, and Atheon sent me into the portal. A dude who knew what he was doing grabbed the relic and ran down the stairs on Venus. I threw a grenade, the other guy ran straight down the steps next to the relic holder. I proceeded to shoot the oracles from the stairs and start down them. I was using Fatebringer so after the first two oracles i think i had to reload. Why reloading I noticed there was no one shooting the oracles. The other guy who was supposed to be shooting them, was running around the relic holder in circles, shooting nothing.

4 RepliesProbably because anyone that can reach level 20 just needs 4 purple engrams and is level 32. You can go from new player to 34 in like 2 days if you grind right.

2 RepliesEveryone seems to think they are invincible now that they are "blank" levels above the recommended. They all completely forget scaling stops after you reach the same level as the enemy.

I refuse to do vog with anyone but my clan anymore. Our strat is awesome and we just roll thru it I love that raid, and it's prob one of my favorite activities in the game but I'm not down for cheering it in any way or take short cuts so thus is my decision.

No. the few groups i've run it with are the same ones i've run it with in the past. Except for a newbie now and again, 1 - 2 teleports max for atheon and a titan or 2 for the templar. it's so much easier to just stop him from teleporting and destroy him quickly.

Your playing with players who probably never touched it before, Bungie made it too easy to reach lvl 34 without ever having to touch the raids.

I know it sucks. There is always one guy that runs ahead at the beginning, activating all the lights, then the rest of us get stuck in slow motion the whole way through. Screw that.

Edited by pHIXXdEUXX: 6/11/2015 5:40:07 PM360 player here, I've been in Vog several times on each of my toons, every party i manage to get for it is a P.u.g. with no mics, usually we end up getting hung up @ the Templar because people are offing themselves with their own rocket-launchers- or i make it all the effin way to Atheon only to have people start dc-ing or they dont know what an oracle is, so they dont realize that they are there to protect the relic holder -_- the worst is people that pick up the relic and run away from the group like their Rambo and Eff the rest of the fire-team or i get invited to a vog Party and then Immediately kicked because i dont have a ghalljorn *( Are you F*cking for real?)
