It came as a deal with the Xbox One, I really just wanted an upgrade for Battlefield 4

It was a choice between Cod AW, Destiny, or Titanfall Titanfall was kinda old so I was like ehh Cod sucks so that was an obvious no So I gave destiny a try and got hooked

I downloaded the demo shortly after I bought my PS4, since I didn't have many games yet.. Never expected buying it, let alone playing it as much as I do :)

my friends and it looked cool

The name bungie

I'd never heard of it when I bought it. Just had some supermarket vouchers to use up and almost picked it at random as it was being released the next day. 400hrs+ later and here I still am ;-)

2 RepliesEverything I read on the game said it was going to be this massive game where we are traveling the universe exploring, building this character to do it all with. I believe I still have the game informer issue that they done on the game in 2013 or early 2014 saying how awesome the game was that they played way before launch was. Then the beta came out and my friends were raving about how great it was and how we all have to get the game and etc. Then it came out..... Nothing like the reviews, before the game came out or what bungie said it would be every time I heard them speak on it. Heck I even feel like the preorder codes and etc were very misleading as well. A shader you could only use at the end game, a green(uncommon) sparrow, supposed vanguard gear unlocked early, but you actually only got a green(uncommon) emblem. I remember playing the game day 1 and people were saying how the game was a failure but to have hope because the real game is after you complete the story... Spending 5-6 hours playing a story and not knowing what's going on what the traveler is other than some machine that brought prosperity to earth with a darkness that follows it everywhere.... Why? Who created this machine? How does this machine have such great powers to make Venus, Mars, and Mercury habitable planets? Well that's more than why I bought it but eh.

A lack of interest in other titles that were out or soon to be released... Glad I did though.

Never planned on buying it, neither did two of my friends. Played the beta together, had a ball. Pre ordered it and still having fun.

1 ReplyBungie's previously good track record, now they suck

Friend of mine played it. Bragging about it how awesome it is.. So I bought it, started playing and eventually became better than him.. But now it's all fun and laughs with people I meet.

1 ReplyThe E3 Demo that mislead us all.

1 ReplyThe open world....

the fun playing it i had at my cousins house during the beta. had i not been there the week of the beta and gotten to play it i probably wouldn't have bought destiny.

1 ReplyMy reason was the "fantastic PvE experience" that this game was hyped on. Sadly all I see is a average PvE with good mechanics that leans more to their PvP base cause the PvE story sucks serious ass. You don't need a story for PvP, right Bungie?.

A few days after release a friend who I played borderlands with said it was good.
-
1 ReplyLies, mostly. Don't get me wrong, but it was billed as open world in the beginning. Heard a bungie dev say so. On video. Oh well. It's still been fun.

Peer Pressure bruh. (I'm now better than all of my peers) ;)
-
Played the beta and thought it was worth a try. I think this game is shaping up very nicely :)

Sweet Bungie gameplay.
