You just need to change up your strategy if you can't beat Skolas without a bubble. For one, maxed out elemental weapons is the way to go to make up for no WoL. Secondly, you'll have to make laps around the map in order to damage Skolas if you can't kill him off the bat. Thirdly, mines are not tough if you go as a group, or have an invisible hunter, or a self-resurrecting warlock.With the essence, you need clear communication along with callouts every few seconds. Don't blame the game for your failures-look at yourself and your team, and say "what did we do wrong? "How can we improve?". If you want a bubble so much, make a titan or go on a lfg website. Don't complain on the forums about how it's impossible when there is living proof of beating it below this comment. Don't let the darkness win, guardian. Keep your head up, and don't give up- there is a way.

Sorry, but the fight is cheap. Mines that trigger super fast, endless waves of enemies with no room to breathe no matter how many you kill, and having the enemies at a level beyond what you're capable of reaching. There's a difference between difficult and cheap, and this fight is the latter. I've still beaten it, but his complaints are valid. Get off your soapbox.

When the Crota raid came out, enemies were a level above you and they didn't stop spawning either. It was impossible at first, but slowly everybody learned what to do. Now, Crota is a joke. Someday Skolas will be a joke too, but you can't whine and complain on the forums until he is. There's plenty of lfg websites with titans on them. The game wasn't made to be fair or easy, so deal with it. What gets me is that Tygaw wants Bungie to fix something because HE can't beat it. Tons of people have beat it, no matter how "cheap" it may be. Yeah, infinite enemies, splinter mines, and the tainted essence suck, but instead of complaining, go do something about it. Find a titan and "cheese" Skolas.

You need to learn what "whining" actually means. Voicing a complaint doesn't qualify as whining. Having enemies at a level the player isn't capable of reaching is a cheap, lazy mechanic. It was cheap and lazy with Crota, and it's cheap and lazy now. Maybe he wants to beat it with his friends. He's entitled. You're right about him having options to find a Titan. I don't disagree with that.

Yeah, I guess whining is too strong of a word. Yeah the mechanics and shit are stacked against the player, so I can see why he has a complaint.
