Bungie has said that they'll be releasing a raid later on in the year as part of a large update.

Bungie and Activision together. It's 40 now for the taken king. Oh you know let's just double the price cause we got their hopes up so high for a new raid that they'll pay it. Especially considering we trolled them and told them that we won't release a raid with HoW like 2 weeks before launch.
