The Lighthouse is bullshit and needs to be changed
No content in this game should be available only to those in the top 10% of crucible players. You wanna give them a shader, emblem, or class item? Fine. But a whole area exclusive to them? With a chest containing some of the best gear in the game? Completely unacceptable. They don't deserve it. They don't need it.
All this "lighthouse" area does is promote elitism and ultimately makes this game far less appealing.
And before you say "git gud scrub" you should know that not everyone is capable of getting better. Everyone has limits, and most peoples' limits are much lower than those who are good enough to get into the Lighthouse. It's existence is a slap in the face to 90% of the playerbase.
[b]Every Guardian in Destiny has the right to access the Lighthouse and obtain the gear from it's chest.[/b] But that's not possible, and until the requirements for accessing it are changed, it never will be.
[b]Edit:[/b] Just for clarity, I'm not saying this should be given out freely. That's an assumption you've made on your own. I do think it should be earned, but the requirements for earning it should be such that it can be enjoyed by most of the player-base. Not just the best crucible players and those they carry with them.

[b]TRIALS ISNT HARD!!!![/b] The only things you honestly need for Trials are [b]- Microphone[/b] (Comes with Xbox) [b]- Teamwork[/b] (Self explanatory) [b]- Thumbs[/b] (You're born with 2) If you don't have a mic you can't communicate, if you can't communicate you're sitting ducks. If you don't work as a team, you'll lose. If you don't have thumbs, you should probably get that checked out. Go ahead and check my stats. 1.15 on my Titan 1.25 on my Warlock 1.21 on my Hunter I'm not a great PVP player but yet I've managed to go flawless over 40 times. Lowering the standards is just slapping the good players in the face.

Kind of agree. Lighthouse should be earned, but should be able to earned by anyone. I had the offer of a carry but didn't take it, figured that getting carried wasn't right. I still think that players who have gone flawless should have a second playlist for flawless only players and teams. 311-320 gear could drop from that, and 300-310 could drop from the regular trials. Surely this would satisfy the skilled, a truly competitive arena of only the best with the best rewards, and would allow more of the less skilled to experience content they had paid for. This coupled with Bungie actually dealing with cheaters and connectivity problems would make trials appear to more players.

There is no one holding you back from going flawless but your self your limits are all in your own head it is called practice and y should every one get to go to the light house when those of us earned it the hard way with team work and strategy and it is a pvp event next you will say just because I worked my but off to start a business you should be able to start one to but it should be easier for you because you can't do what I can

This again? I thought these threads died. But you're right, everyone does have the right to go to the lighthouse. No is keeping the content from you but yourself. (And maybe the teammates you choose) I don't understand what whining on the forums will do. Your post isn't even well structured. Your main argument isn't held together by any facts. It's all just your opinion. But again, no one is keeping you from the lighthouse. If you really cared that much about going there, you'd put half the effort into trials that you did into this post.

Its not just elite pvp players that get there, im only average at pvp (k/d 1.1), it took a lot of effort and time in trials to do it but i got to the lighthouse in the end and it felt like i earnt it because it was a challenge....the fact it was such a challenge made it enjoyable, sounds like you just dont have enough perseverance

I hope this is satire (by the way I wish everyone would stop using the word satire) Everyone does have the opportunity to go to the lighthouse, and you say we get an exclusive area..... You literally open the chest and that's it. There is nothing special to do in the lighthouse, except run and jump into the super bouncy wall perhaps lololol. Want to know how you get there ? Win 7 games in a row. "Oh noooooo so impossy how can I ever do this"
