Took a day off Wednesday - WoW taught me not to plan on launch day access.

LOL... Dont compare WoW and all of blizzards common sense and capability of making such an incredible game. To this Bungivision nightmare of held back content and watered down gameplay.

Where you even there for WoD launch? It was an absolute failure for about a week. Nice try though.

I was there for the launch of the game, the launch of TBC, cataclysm and MoP. All of them had terrible launch day gameplay. WoW's development team and community manager played with the fans, daily, talking on the forums throughout the day constantly with blue post left and right answering even the dumbest of questions and always transcendent with the community in ways activision would never dare. That is why their game had DLC with meaning and constant hotfixes and updates to do their best at pleasing the fans. WoW has had over 100 million registered users and unfortunately Destiny wont ever get to half of that number within the 10 years its planned to exist. 6/10 ratings speaks for itself.

Loosing 3 million subs speaks for itself too. WoW is dying thanks to WoD and the direction the game is going. And I wasn't speaking of just the launch day, they've all been horrible, but WoD takes the cake with how unstable it was for a week or more.

WoW died for me a long time ago. Grant it the monthly payments are something to take into account, Blizzard gave soooooooooo much more with their game, long before that 100 million registered users was accounted for. 3 million compared to 100,000,000 million actually isnt as bad as it sounds but im apart of that 3 mil and im sure you are too. The biggest thing about their accomplishments i see now is the community management. They were never cryptic with whats to come more than they had to be. The amount of feedback they gave back to the community, along with playing with the players on a daily/weekly basis was astounding. I remember when AQ gates were opening the amount of game managers just running around talking and helping people with raids... and they continued to do so which made the game great because they were playing and testing at the same time WITH the fans. They didnt even start off with half of Destiny's budget and again, Destiny and the activision influence is going to ever keep the game at a very mediocre par compared to other successful games.

Wow doesn't have that many players so those numbers are off. Sure in total over the years but they are down to 7.1 million subscriptions as of the last earning reports. WoW is also on PC which means they can give infinite more content, Draenor excluded. And the CMs are not very engaged any more. They aren't nearly as involved with the community and they ignore feedback way to much. Just how I've seen it but yeah. I'll keep giving Destiny a chance and Bungie as well because I've seen how they grow games and they do it well.

Hatred is never off topic on the interwebs....

Edited by me2ez: 5/18/2015 5:31:05 PMHate is a strong assumption. I dont hate anyone, im no troll. I'm just saying that all games and patches have problems at launch, but wow actually has a game with content that is worth the money. This monotonous and manipulative game direction makes some gamers want to throw up is all. WoW never got 6/10 ratings either
