Why are most people saying Venus is the best location for keys?
I realize there are two event locations fairly close to each other but at Skywatch I can pull one chest 4-5 times per event and the others 3 times. This has to be a much higher pull/hr ratio than Venus. Or am I missing something?

9 RepliesEdited by astralouroboros: 5/18/2015 7:33:52 AMWith two events and a 6 man team I've gotten 4X the chest opens than I did in skywatch with a 3 man team Having 3 in both locations tips you off faster so your pulling more wolves in You may get one more chest pull than me on skywatch with 4 but I'll get 3 and be fighting another wolf and getting another 3 before your second wolves come in and that's on a normal schedule Sometimes the Venus wolves come in faster than skywatch not to mention you can also get 4-5 in an ember caves or citadel run All in all this makes for more chest overall plus this goes even faster when you get a heavy pike in the mix Plus were not dealing with publics as often or urzok and his impromptu war zone thus allowing us to get the wolves done faster

i just solo skywatch. are people so bad they need a fireteam, yes. while everyone is still farming venus i finished the grind start of day 2, why keep grinding when you have everything you needses

Start vog to get 6 ppl in on Venus. Do ember cave dropship and depending on chest spawn open it up to 4 times. Rush to citidel and open the chest there up to 4 times. There's only one place on citidel that you can get 4. But there's 2 in ember caves. So I can theoretically get 8 opens in 5 mins or less on Venus. Ive gotten 6 keys, and its a lot more fun with having 6 ppl

You can join a VOG and have 6 ppl in group which is was more fun

You just have to wait longer in skywatch you can float back and forth on Venus

6 RepliesEdited by So 0mnipotent: 5/17/2015 6:55:57 PMOn Venus, normally once you finish up ember caves, you can loot most of the chests 3 times, and then you can rush over to citadel where the majority of the time, the event over there is just finishing up and you have just enough time to help kill the boss and loot the chests over there about 3 more times. And then you can rush back over to ember caves and usually within the next couple minutes the event over there is spawning again. So it's just back and forth and depending on how efficient you and your team are, and if you can catch the wolves spawns on time, you can loot around 6-7 chests in a [u]minimum[/u] timespan of 7-10 minutes. IMO it's the best method to farming the chests and materials, but hey if your method works for you then by all means, keep doing whatever works.

2 RepliesHow are people saying skywatch is?? Even if you hit the chest 5 times EVERY event, you're still getting less chests/hr. While you wait on skywatch for your second event to start, I'll be on my third, possibly fourth on Venus. Assuming you're not playing alone or with people who don't speak the same freakin language as you, Venus is way more efficient.

I just started doing venus after seeing this thread since I used to do skywatch. Venus is faster in my opinion.

Venus you can get 3/event at both sites, back to back. It's about the same average, just less sitting around really.

2 RepliesThere's 2 spots in the citadel you can loot 3 times and 3 spots in the ember caves you can loot 3 times.

One on Venus can be pulled four times I think. A few of the ones in the second area, the wood structures, can be received 3 times if you go out the alternate path.

2 RepliesHow can you pull multiple times from one chest? I came across this last night on the moon and didn't even know what was happening till another guardian got my attention and pointed me to the chest. So, how do you get multiple items? Thank you.

Simple answer, Earth has Skywatch and Forgotten Shore. While Skywatch is probably better than both Venus locations, it is way too far from Forgotten Shore to be efficient, plus Forgotten Shore is so big it is hard to find the chest and collect it more than once. On Venus, you can do the event in Ember Caves, then you can snag them 2-4 times, then right after that you can hit up the Citadel to get a back-back event so you end up collecting the chest 4-7 times depending on how quick you are! After you hit Citadel, you return to Ember Caves and can start the cycle again, verus where on Earth you have to sit at skywatch and wait 15 mins between each event. And as for the moon- it's just awful there, but the helium makes it worth the grind. You're best of at Venus though..

I played the ember caves on Venus three times back to back and got a key.

At the citadel you can go right in a straight line and if you have a Timebreaker or Graverobber you get lots of loooooot

Venus had been spawning more frequently for me. It's also an easier event. I think Skywatch is better when you have a large group though.

Ya but on skywatch you have no choice but to wait for the timer on Venus you switch between areas and usually hit 2-3 events back to back if you do it fast and don't screw up.

7 RepliesYeah, the most you can get on Venus is the three out of Citadel. I like Venus because you can go back and forth between the zones, which makes it more fun, but I will try Skywatch tonight.

They're about the same overall. Just skywatch involves more downtime and less work. And you can start a war if you get bored. Also, I prefer Venus, time for the moon though.

I can usually get 4-6 chests between both spawns, adds up fast.

Skywatch is the best, end of story. There is no other place where you can grab an as high avarage of chests per run as in Skywatch. Playing with 2 teams of 3 on Venus doesn't net you a higher avarage, even if you sometimes might get more runs doing both ether caves and citadel.
