The new audio warning for Ward of Dawn is far too quiet to be useful and is completely useless for anyone with a hearing disability.
Times where there's lots of enemies and everyone's using the bubble for cover (like the crystal room on CE) should be where this feature is the most useful but none of my team heard it even once amidst the gunfire and voice chat. I actually completely forgot it was added until I reread the patch notes today.
Please consider changing the the audio cue to a visual cue, like a timer or the Ward of Dawn turning red, or at least making it louder/more noticeable than it is now.
Edit: Having the super bar deplete or a timer would probably the best option. Colour changing would impact the PvP. That's how Radiance and Arc Blade works, why not Ward of Dawn?

Yeah very true indeed, it would be nice to have a timer since 90% times I wouldn't be hearing the game or warning sound of the bubble. (I mute it out of habit, communicating with people, Hearing music, etc)
-
Wait there's a warning for when my buuble is about to expire? Never noticed.

Edited by Avatar Muda: 4/25/2015 12:37:38 PMThey should make it flash or fade away instead and bump

Great idea bumpage.

1 ReplyWait there is an audio warning when your WoD is going to end?? :-O
-
Some people are never satisfied
-
1 ReplyBut.. But.. If the super bar goes down we can't get another bubble as we punch blinded thrall to death
-
1 ReplyThe fact that several things are usually shooting at you pretty much overwhelms the the sound anyway. I don't see why they don't just do the same thing as radiance/arc blade/golden gun. The super bar would decrease slowly and when depleted-no more bubble.
-
The problem is, is that the shield getting hit decreases the time, which probably messed up a display they had, and had to remove it
-
3 RepliesYeah like the timer for warlock flame sheild. Not hard to implement Bungie!
-
1 ReplyThe bubble expiring has never ever been an issue in any of my gameplay... I don't understand why the cue is so important

Edited by CheapDatezz: 4/24/2015 5:07:56 PMNvm. Misunderstanding.

1 ReplyThere is a visual cue, but it sucks and is not noticeable if you're not standing in the center of standing outside of the bubble. It just needs to start cracking like glass and eventually shatter or it needs the Super bar indicator. Also, PLEASE ADD TIMERS to Weapons/Blessing of Light. Warlock get a timer on their flame shield and Hunters get timers on their precision damage buffs... Titans don't get a timer on their Force Barrier, buffs, or Ward of Dawn.. Come on, stop shitting on Titans

Aww the super bar timer method would have been the best. Similar to how GG, AB, and radiance work.
-
When I think about this, I think about the plasma shields in Halo and how you could tell when they were getting shot and when they were going to break. I know it was another team that worked on it at Bungie but it just reminded me of it. Could be awesome.
-
The super bar timer would work well for the titan that used it but the others would still need the audio warning.
-
1 ReplyWhy not a timer, is it really that hard?
-
1 Replywait.... i didnt know it even had cues lol
-
1 ReplyIt should change color...

23 RepliesCommunity asks for a warning, Bungie gives one. Community cries saying it isn't good enough
Please cry some more, they really care about your problems I promise, they can totally cater to every player in the game I swear
I completely agree I was doing hard mode crota using my titan with blessing and told my team to pass through it to get to ogre room over half of them could hear it and wasn't able to make it in time
-
1 ReplyDo on screen timer similar to the warlock flame shield?
