I preordered when the marketing materials said there would be a new raid. It's the only reason I bought it. Now that there is no raid I have zero interest in HoW.
How do I get a refund?
EDIT: For all of you mouthbreathers who are either too lazy to look it up, or too stupid to remember, here is just one of the promotional materials stating there would be a raid in HoW. http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Destiny-House-of-Wolves1.jpg Also - http://i.imgur.com/bodXIpb.jpg
EDIT 2: Another preorder description for the expansion pass stating there would be a raid: http://i.imgur.com/rgKGRXb.png This came from an email from Bungie. So yes, they did say each of the first two DLCs would have a raid.
EDIT 3: Over 3000 replies! Thank you for all of the support and love! Keep it going so Bungie sees how many of us want a HoW refund!!
EDIT 4: AND I CALLED IT!! HORDE MODE WITH NIGHTFALL MODIFIERS! Soooo lame. I accept everyone's apology who doubted this would be all you'd get. Still think we shouldn't get a refund?? Please...
In case you weren't sick of horde mode from every single "story" mission in the game, they've pulled the raid so they can give you more horde mode! (And also to resell the raid as more DLC later) That'll keep things fresh and interesting!

Didn't Bungie themselves state that a raid is coming later... Oh but you are not really trying to get answers as much as you want to become trending and gain internet attention because as humans we can't resist oiling the squeaky wheel instead of letting it fade to the bottom of the page.

If you bought the digital season pass you're not getting a refund because you're already using TDB content. I was able to convince Sony to give me a refund on the digital season pass prior to TDB dropping because I decided to take an extended break and didn't know if I'd be coming back; I wound up buying the pass again when I came back. Don't you think you should try the new content before assuming you'll hate it? I mean what's a raid anyway? If they had made the Prison of Elders one long slog through a rioting galactic super max, defusing splinter mines and fighting sub bosses the whole way to make it to the armory/wardens office/cafeteria and labeled it a raid instead of an arena would you feel better? Most groups can get a noraml Vog or CE run done in 30-60min so what's the huge difference here?

All this from a scrub who plays 3 Warlocks...... I hope you quit playing Destiny and leave the forum.

2 RepliesAll I see is a data mined picture, not anything official. You made the mistake of trusting hackers to make a purchase decision. Sorry you have buyers remorse but that's the way the world works. Maybe next time you will wait for an official release from the developer before making that decision.

4 RepliesCall the PSN customer service, they'll probably help you out. Idk why so much pepper in this thread...
-
You dont.
-
Just curious. Do you play on PS3 or ps4?
-
2 RepliesPretty sure we didn't get a raid simply because a low percentage of people have covered a raid. They wanted to try something now and I applaud them for that. I just wish the prison of elders was more like an extended strike with checkpoints and a lot more area to work within.
-
1 ReplyFirst of all the first image is datamined so it means absolutely nothing, you were promised a raid and you got Crotas End. So once again you're wrong. On the subject of horde mode plus nightfall, you do realize horde mode is just survive right? Yea there is one round that is horde mode, but did you miss the parts where you have to kill a boss? And defuse splinter mines?
-
3 RepliesThey never said they both would have a raid. Ever As it has been made apparent at this point, that picture is data mined out the ass. There are no refunds, live with the choice.

Refund: You buy a produkt, You don't like it or it don't works and get a Refund. In most cases this works only in the first view Weeks! When did you buy it? And btw No One on This Planet Forced you what to do with your money or what you buy and when you buy something. No One And If a Raid is your only complain about 20$ (only 1expansion) 35$ for both Expansions Then i am sorry for you TDB compared to the HoW Expansion is nothing and even close the money worth And when you didn't have fun playing the game till now then it wouldn't matter If the HoW has a Raid. I feel ya dude, a lot of ppl would like to have a Raid. A fxxking lot But serious dude, you would like to have a Raid like Crota's End again? Full of Bugs, Glitches and No big replayability?

2 RepliesSo if you buy an apple. Eat half of the apple. Then decide you don't like it half way through. Can you return said apple. I doubt it....

You know, people seem to forget those "this purchase is non-refundable" confirmation messages that appear for every thing you buy on any digital marketplace.
-
2 Repliesyou're not getting a refund. stop crying. everywhere i looked about informatino about HoW before they announced anything said "check back later for details on house of wolves." i never seen them say that its including a raid. and for your edit #1, i never once seen information on HoW while on my console. not once.

3 RepliesDon't you at least want to try it before asking for a refund? Besides we've all made some stupid mistakes in the past, most notably pre ordering games before they're released. It's partially your fault for doing so. People will always promise you the moon to sell you something. But in the end all you've bought is dirt. My advice to you is to try before you buy.
-
2 RepliesIm not gonna insult you like 90% of the replies here, but I just want you to try it. It might be better than you expect

1 ReplyHow to anger an entire community in one post: Step 1: Buy something that clearly states that you can't refund it. Step 2: Get angry when you can't get a refund. Step 3: Use datamined pictures as "proof" that content was cut. Step 4: Profit?

1 ReplyBungie also stated multiple times that anything that was shown at all before release of the dlc itself was subject to change if needed.

Did you ever play Wow ? Blizzard never issued any refund for their expansions even though they did not deliver on stuff they had on the Box Art Dance Studio on the Tbc Box( not in the game ) Flying combat on the Wotlk box( not in the game ) My point being you paid for a product in advance knowing it could change, the problem here isn't Bungie it's the pre order system. Next time vote with your wallet Don't Pre Order!! Thanks. Havoc :)
