Why do people say anime has good plot? A half naked underage woman screaming out kawaii-sama and a man screaming to get power ups isn't a plot at all. It's like bondage. You are essentially seeking to control and dominate them. x (

I like anime. It's been hard though to find one that my wife and I both like. So far we have both liked fruits basket and...that one with the high school club...Oo ran high school club? It's the one about a club of kids who are basically male escorts and they have a girl that joins and she gets together with the leader in the end of season 1.

It's because of the basement nerds. They have body pillows, posters and watch hentai. Everyone assumes anime fans are ALL like that. Anime fans are the same as anyone else. The "weeaboos" are the ones that give anime fans a sour image. Nothing wrong with anime. It can have good plot, good characterisation and good metaphors for representing society. Intelligent stuff. At least, that's what I appreciate in anime. But you all assume we ALL jerk to hentai. That we ALL have body pillows. Not at all. Next time you jump into an anime post on OffTopic, keep all this in mind, yeah?

This is actually a genre that I hate and I'll tell you why. [b][u]Why I hate anime[/u][/b] I guess that it is because I've grown up and not very many cartoons interest me. I'll get nostalgic every now and then but anime... It it too grown up/serious most if the time. Cartoons are created with the target audience being mainly children. With this in mind it just seems a little backwards to me for cartoons to become as serious as everyday t.v. dramas. Also its just the art style in general that I find annoying. There is hardly any originality from what I've seen. Its like the same person could've drawn every anime ever made. Mouths make the same movements when speaking, when someone needs to make a statement they make it yelling at the top of their voice with a swooshy background, the smart character isn't smart he just has common sense and the other characters treat him like a genius, main character is always the most determined, the antagonist is either insane or stuck up, there is usually a dark reclusive character who is the badass, and girls are either reserved and tough or just flirtatious eye candy that one of the characters loses their mind over. TL:DR Anime is too repetitive making it predictable. [b][u]Why I hate the majority of anime fans[/u][/b] When I talk about the majority I mean the people who are obviously into anime and everyone can tell because they stick out like rednecks at a tea party (lol). These people tend to be extremely childish and have some form of low self esteem or anxiety (of course there are outliers so don't get your bra in a knot too quick about this). I'm the kind of person who tries to act a little younger than my actual age most of the time because I'd rather be young than old. However I can at least have a serious or casual conversation without acting like a toddler with ADHD. I find that these sort of people tend to complain about society a lot too because things don't go their way or they aren't being included. What i want to tell these people is that they should stand up and include themselves and stop acting like its everyone else's fault. These sort of people just seem like they need to grow up a little and start being a little more mature. There are some anime fans out there who are simply fans of the genre and who are mature about situations so why are others not like this? TL:DR Most anime fans are childishly annoying, immature, and tend to reserve themselves then blame everyone else for not including them. Honestly anime is a great genre (the only bad form of art is the abstract paintings that look like blood spatter) its just not something that pleases my mind. The people are good people too its just that they need to be a little more grown up and mature for some situations.

I only watch anime. It's my addiction, and I'll fight to protect it. My phone case is anime, my phone background, my taste in music is Japanese rock, and I'll be getting more anime posters for my room. I want Senpai to notice me...

I watch it but i will never! EVER! Will go as far as watching porn of it, super echi, buy merchandise like posters or put my phone screen with anime, not even cosplay, try to speak Japanese unless i take classes >_>. All i want is a good story and chars >_>

All anime r different it depend on ur genres and dont mix anime and cartoon r they same they r different my favorite anime is G.C Guilty Crown or H.O.T.D Highschool of The Dead
