Firstly, thank you for taking the time to compile this summary of wishes the community has. I have a point of concern and a counter idea. My concern with the exotics "common" perk is if your roll a weapon breaking perk. I mean would you want to roll a Gjallarhorn without homing rockets? Now for Hard Light. I want Hard Light to have an exotic feel and its exotic-ness to be practical and desirable. I also don't want it to be overshadowed by arc damage primaries that are capable of the same job, like Fatebringer. My idea for Hard Light is to buff Volatile Light by allowing it to deal constant damage to all shield types and shield strengths for each tier of health (standard, major, ultra). The damage should be constant and be dealt in three hits, ricochets count as hits. Damage dealt to health counts as one hit, and a shield is hit twice if it is intact for the second hit. Also I don't think the guardian shield is quite the same as what npcs have so I see little harm in this for the crucible.

  • You're welcome. The "common" perk is there for variety. That's one idea I agree with, Though not strongly. But we want out exotics to feel exotic (different). If you get a bad one, try to get another. Puts a new meaning to xur if his would be random. "Roll a gjallarhorn (I know xur won't sell it, only doing it as your example) has no tracking, but has tripod. Roll again for a different one or no?" While for hard light, I agree. I want my baby (hard light was my first exotic) to become more exotic, overall better. Volatile light should do damage to all shields, maybe even straight to the health beyond shield limit. I will add the hard light volatile idea.
