How the hell do you use a warlock in pvp?
As someone who has used both hunters and titans in pvp, how do you use a warlock because to me right now, they suck. Advice welcome.
Edit: Thank you for the costructive comments for those that actually gave advice. I'll try to apply it.
Edit: Definitely having better results after switching up some of my abilities as recommended. Starting to now understand the danger a warlock brings to a match, especially after lobbing a nova bomb super from practically one control point to another.

For PVP you should always go max agility & recovery since the armor rating literally means NOTHING inside the crucible. Learn to abuse the Nova Bomb on one person/groups it doesn't matter. Your build should honestly favor the benefits of the exotic you have on. One of the builds I have success with is.. Axion Bolt Focused Burst Lance Life Steal Annihilate/Angry Magic Bloom Tbh mix it up and see what fits your 'Locks play style. Good luck man hope to see you in the crucible.

The shotgun melee range is further than the titan/Hunter, try it out. If you don't like the glide use blink, although sunsingers destroy.

I went on a 6 kill streak on my level 5 warlock ... Git gud. Their melee is the best

It's easy actually, use blink, a shotgun and a medium long range weapon for primary (lol I use no land beyond or lawls) and then equip truth for heavy. When you see someone close blink over then turn around and shotgun then Mele. Use the last upgrade in the Mele tree so your super charges faster btw. Pretty simple when you get use to it. I get like 25 kills average a game and not a bad kd depending on the map (-blam!- you asylum)

Mmmmmm, the destruction. Keep in mind you also have a very generous melee range so if anyone is within 5-6ft of you and doesn't have any shield left just melee, even if you don't have an Energy Drain charge.

Make heavy use of your abilities, have blink to avoid deadly shots, Nova bomb with bloom easily can clear out people defending objectives.

Use blink. Cap 2 or if possible 3 flags. Wait for enemies to try take flag. Nova bomb!!! Profit

Voidwalker heavy on the agility with moderate recovery and slight less armour. Sunsinger heavy on both armour, and recovery and pretty much low agility. This is how i run my warlock u can look in my abilities to refrence on what i use and if you need tips feel free to ask bro.

Don't reply to that sunsinging noob.. VoidWalker with blink carry a gh demise, fusion rifle and machine gun ur golden. Or bad juju awe sum too

So easy. Use fusion grenades on sunsinger and radiant skin and just go to town on the other team. Fusion grenades with HoPF gives atleast 10 grenade kills each match. Firebolt grenades are good too if you aren't good with aiming grenades. Axion bolt does the work for you in void walker. Nova bomb gets easier to use with practice. And there's always blink with it too. They're a great PvP class. Plus the melee has crazy reach

The hunger and embrace the void allow you to really spam grenades. Voidfang vestments make your axion bolt grenade even better. It's all about grenades.

If you're used to Titans, you'll be pleased to find out that the warlock melee range is almost double that of a Titan's. Also, if you're comparing a Voidwalker to a Striker, the Nova Bomb has a larger impact field, so you can kill more Guardians at once. Additionally, the Nova Bomb can be shot from a distance, so if there are any survivors, they have less of a chance of killing you.

My best advice when starting out before you get good gun: get a shotgun. And as soon as you shoot the person mellee them! Instant kill

14 RepliesThe biggest thing you can do to help yourself is put on Bloom. If you combine that with Axion bolt you will be surprised at the number of multi-kills you can get. For Melee run surge because if someone gets the drop on you it allows you to put the odds in your favor mobility wise. Votex Nova Bomb with Annihilate and Bloom is honestly the best Nova Bomb for PvE and PvP in my opinion.
