Got both third man and hard light last week. Saved me some coins.
Everyone who buys third man should immediately upgrade it to 104 intellect. Because yes you can do that.

Should've upgraded 3rd Man last week like I did..he had +122. Also grabbed the +126 LBN and +124 Helm of Saint-14.

Did it with my helm of st 14. The one I had was not as good as the one xur had for upgrade last week. Costs the 7k glimmer and an exotic shard, but you can upgrade anything. I guess in theory you could downgrade things too and end up with lower stats.
