From my time in Crucible, and time playing other FPS games, an "Aimbot" isn't exactly foreign in the FPS genre, though it doesn't seem to be a frequent occurrence.
It's just those times that, even if I emerge from a wall/corner (even sometimes sliding) people can headshot me with snipers from any distance in about 0.02 milliseconds, and it seems to happen with very few people. They just don't miss their shots, ever.
It may just be me, but I'm pretty sure that an aimbot-like program for your consoles exists out there somewhere, and I report everyone who does this with a Sniper all the time.
I don't care what your argument is, sniping up to 3 people consecutively as they sprint/slide/jump etc. between small gaps, there's just no way anyone is that fast.

1 ReplyI mix up my playstyle all the time and still get "predicted" by "players" with ungodly aim. This makes me suspicious...

1 ReplyEdited by clean: 7/27/2016 12:29:35 PMIt certainly is possible on last gen systems, As of now no good kernel exploit or jailbreak has been found for either the PS4/Xbox 1. (There has been a ps4 jailbreak for version 1.xx of the ps4, This version cant go online as to go online the ps4 requires the latest software update.) EDIT: After reading a few post people are saying destiny has aim assist this is very common on console games and almost every single console game has it due to the limitations of a joystick which only has a few centimeters of space to move around.

1 ReplyIts really possible its proves when you sprint there is a arrow on the center if U point that to an enemy snipers like ldr or 1000 yard stare have 48 of aim assist now imagine with the arrow...then or the guy has a lot of skill time or its trully aimbot but U cant prove it

Edited by roman_emp85: 11/5/2015 5:44:23 PMI have nothing with good snipers, but there are time I face teams in trials that consistently hit outrageous headshots. I get that they may get luck from time to time and pull an insane head shot, but sometimes they feel unrealistic. You can be directly above their head in the air, with a shotgun pointed at their head and snipe, you're dead. You can run out of a corner, shadestep, and snipe your dead. You blink in front of their dead and snipe your dead. You can be up close and personal or far away, some team's headshot abilities are unrealistic. I often think that they are cheating, and I can't shake that feeling. Some teams where even shooting through objects in banner fall without armor piercing rounds. This kid I was playing with said that they were most likely using an aim assist bot tied to a keyboard for quick access.

Crazy man I'm not one of the best snipers but I'm decent. I have had some amazing shots. Watching a path people cross you can headshot people the second they walk out pretty easily.
-
1 ReplyDestiny has very HIGH aim assist, to the point where some of your shots will literally hit people around corners.

2 Replieshttp://hackerbot.net/fps/plus/287-destiny Aim bots are real and pathetic. It is completely different than aim assist. Not available for consol versions of Destiny.

I'm a pretty good sniper but I've never done this and they shouldn't be able to do this. Sometimes I don't even see their head around the corner and they shoot me in the head. Like wtf

1 ReplyEdited by Spaceman: 8/10/2015 1:04:24 AMJust leave the controller alone. Keep your finger ready on the trigger. If you are in position ready to snipe someone. Wait for them to come around the corner. The aim assist will follow as you press the trigger. Bam! headshot!

Yes there is aim assist built into the game. It's most noticeable when your aiming at one target and another mob passes your sites. You'll. notice your aim shift to the second target automatically.

1 ReplyEdited by DmoTraz: 6/8/2015 11:34:57 AMI happen to just like sniping, been that way since Halo CE. I agree there is some aim assist on all weapons though (on a side note kinda pissed you can't turn it off) the way to show this is if you have your weapon sighted and you're looking at a long range target if someone on the enemy team runs by and they're closer your reticle will jump towards them. At any rate I've digressed, the point is some people are really good snipers cause they've been doing it in the Bungie world a LONG time.

I agree, some people are using aimbots in the crucible. I was playing skirmish with a friend a few days ago and ran into a a fire team of two which were using only snipers regardless of the range. You could come out of a corner running, sliding, or jumping and it was instant head shot eve in you were in their face. They never missed a shot. My friend told me the same thing was happening to him. I do believe some people have manage to install aimbots on their consoles. I was playing on a PS4.

Different guns have different levels of aim assist, that's why weapons like mida multi tool and headshotting mofos because it's high, without even aiming that much you're pretty much guaranteed a head shot. Also its more than likely you suck balls and they have skill. Next time I see you in a game I'll be reporting you for n00bness..

You're playing a console game. Aim-assist is a weak aimbot built into the game.
-
Aim assist exists. Easiest way to tell is when you are aiming at an enemy(either PVP or PVE) and a different enemy crosses the path of your crosshairs, your crosshairs will start tracking that crossing enemy. It's gotten me killed a few times.
-
People used to claim console aimbots being used in Battlefield.....2 years I asked for proof....still waiting.....
-
I don't really like calling it "aimbot" as it sounds like as if it's doing all the work. It's more of an aim assist. Yes Destiny does have aim assist and it can be noticing everyone at times

Yes, it is very annoying.
