Exotic weapons drop are not random...
Now, you may be calling BS. But hear me out.
Ask anyone who's runs raids often.. Those who have one exotic weapon, will likely get it again, and again, and again.
This DOES apply to legendary weapons, especially raid ones.
You can not tell me that is all random. That's bull. And statistically impossible. It is not luck getting 5+ of the same weapon. It's the loot system playing favorites. Someone has multiple copies of a sought after weapon, such as Supercell or Jade Rabbit, they will most likely get themselves a new copy.
The theory is fueled by The great duplicates from exotic [i]WEAPON[/i] engrams.
Anyone care to prove this theory wrong?

Yep I've gotten three exotic drops in one raid and guess what all three where the same when I opened them back to back. I also need 7 more exotics. And the one I really want is the universal remote because I get bashed with it in crucible. It's so unfair for people to have weapons that I have grind for and cannot get. They have the upper hand without a doubt. I've got over 70 days in time on this game and still get the same weapons over and over. I call b.s.

I agree, only started getn exotics about a month ago n had 3 suros regime, 4 last word, 2 hawkmoon, 2 supercell, 2 Monte Carlo..... Special- 3 invective lol joke really n don't get me started on armour / clothing. Also had 1 truth, 1 last word n 1 hawkmoon from legendary drops changing to exotics

As a guy who had gotten every weapon from RNG in year 1. And as a guy who's gotten just about every exotic minus 1 or 2 from year 2. I'd say you have bad RNG luck. Personally I believe RNG is built on a weird time scale. Where the exact moment in time dictates what will drop. And that RNG is programmed random but that random is based on what time it is and possibly several other factors like, were you the first or third player to open that chest and blah blah blah

1 ReplyAt least you guys are getting weapons...I've got 5 TimeBreakers. Yeah, there is something definitely mucked with the system. However, Bungie clearly acknowledges this fact and is going to address it (supposedly) when Taken King is released. We'll see. If I get another TimeBreaker, I'm throwing my controller through my screen.

Ive gotten 0 NLB, 0 GH, 0 TL, 0 TRUTH, 0 MC, 0 HL, . I have gotten only 1 red death. (its still lvl 300, not the 331) have had it for about two months now and no second RD. Only 1 Hawk from a legendary engram. I have gotten 2 ice breakers from raids but only after I bought 2 from xur. I have 2 P&T from raids. I only have 1 P C, bought from xur. Ive beaten atheon a total of 20 some odd times and received 2 vex. other than that... I dont see a pattern for my exotics. However, I agree that nothing espeacially RNG via programming can be TRULY RANDOM. BUT Nuclear alpha particles could be. as well as X/Y/Z coordinate electron plotting.

A friend only wanted a gally. Day one player with most every gun. Last night we beat crota and he finally got one. We used the checkpoint and alts to beat crota again and he got another. Once you get an exotic you'll definitely see it again. I stopped counting hawkmoons awhile ago.

I kind of agree with this... I received 3 hard lights and ghorns and titan leg that does shoulder charge... Oh and heart of praxic fire like twice.... I want mida or hawkmoon but never seen that... Ever so your theory makes sense.

I've gotten 3 suros (all in one week), 3 plan Cs, 4 P&T. I do have plenty of other exotics as well, but these 3 seem to drop allot.

1 ReplyNo, I think you're right. I think the game purposefully weights exotics you already have higher, so you have a few that are hard to find because your RNG goes up for weapons you've found. If the game was truly random, it'd be near impossible to have NOT found that last exotic after what ? 5 months of exotics rolls on 3 characters? Nope I don't believe it's really random either. Bungie won't tell us the truth about the games RNG because we'd hate the truth.

Its not like I'm grinding this game for one weapon, its seven. Apart from the DLC weapons (which are shit), I have not seen an Exotic weapon drop that I [u][b]don't[/b][/u] have since November. Thats the best part of three to four months. I made a pact with myself that if I do not see one of the non DLC exotic weapons drop for me upon my completion of the Hard Mode House of Wolves Raid I will not be continuing with Destiny any further. All this grinding to no avail. To further bolster this theory, I've been Raiding in the VoG since September. Three weeks ago I created a Titan as I had Exotic gear, through Xur's engrams and Legendary gear for it. Once I reached Level 20, I would be automatically Level 27, even further with some of the gear upgraded. So up until 3 weeks ago, I never had Vision of Confluence and I've been Raiding since September. Ran VoG Normal as soon as possible with my Titan. Reward? Vision of Confluence for the first time. Since then I've gotten 4 more! It took me approximately five months to get the first one and three weeks to get the other four.
