I present to you; Crowfall. A game that mixes strategy and mmorpg elements by incorporating factions. Or for the weeaboos, a non-VR SAO. This game could be a game changer for the seemingly endangered species of games that is the fantasy mmorpg. WoW, Runescape and other games of the sort have become bland and repetitive. Crowfall is going to try to bring something new to the table: A game you CAN'T beat. TL;DR If you like (or liked) fantasy MMORPGs this game has potential to become your dream game.
Why does nobody see all the great things about ESO? Is everyone so butthurt to the devs that they are all just overlooking a prefectly good game.

 • I've heard nothing good about ESO, I don't understand why some people are excited for the console version, even without the sub fee it still seems shitty. What do you like about it?

But not even that there is plenty to love aboit the game. I mean it offers all the same stuff most mmos offer. A lot of questing, crafting, theres a dodge mechanic unlike most mmos, any class can use any weapon so you can build your character exact how you want it and it can be any way you want, the game is BEAUTIFULL! Best looking mmo to date. The pvp is pretty awesome, its kinda lacking at the moment but once the imperial city is added pvp should be AMAZING! The battles already are pretty epic, once people start fighting for actuall control of the imperial city it will be even better! Plus he game is HUGE! Last thing to point out is justice system they are adding (today in fact) is adding even more imersion to the game by allowing you to kill or steal from npc and pay the consiquences of caught. It basically is making the game more like skyrim. To me if you like the elder scrolls series there is no reason not to try out ESO. Its a great addition to the series. Just keep in mind, this is not a single player game. Its an mmo so things will be a little different.

 • Word, that made it actually sound appealing, thanks. So this imperial city still isn't a thing even though the games been out for awhile? The PvP was the most appealing aspect for me so it's cool to hear that it's still improving.

They currently have at least 5 dlc packs lined up for after console launch so if the game succeeds with the b2p we should see a LOT to come.

 • I didn't even know about ESO until I posted this. It looks pretty good. I look forward to both, but the devs for Crowfall will be working directly with the fans.

 • If I had a dollar ... 75% of MMOs crash hard and that includes many well built extremely fun AAA titles. The MMO landscape is digital Darwinism. The odds of either ESO or this new game surviving are close to zero. This reminds me of all the talk about Darkfall and Archeage. I haven't played ESO but the issues that reviewers talk about make me cringe as an MMO vet.

 • Archeage is still going strong. Thing with Crowfall is that they won't be getting any support from companies so they can listen to the fans directly and get their input and criticism whereas they wouldn't be able to with other companies helping them. This game is bringing something new to the table and makes the game completely unbeatable. The world is always changing whereas other worlds stay exactly the same.

 • Wait, for some reason I thought you meant something else. I've heard of Elder scrolls online. Haven't tried it, but I'm not a big fan of ES to begin with.
