Bear in mind i said DC CINEMATIC UNIVERSE, the comic version can do the same but the film version is gonna ve stronger.

Aquaman is actually almost as strong as superman at times. His trident can cut superman like he was any human. When he first came out he was pretty weak but they majorly revamped him to be very kick ass.
